A leaked look at Samsung’s next foldable screen protectors suggests the company is preparing three very different designs for its premium lineup. The apparent differences involve the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 wide variant, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
The clearest split appears in the outer display proportions. Instead of pushing one uniform foldable shape across the range, Samsung seems to be keeping distinct identities for each model.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra Appears Tallest
Images shared by well-known leaker Ice Universe show side-by-side protectors that reveal how each device may be shaped. Among them, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is said to have the tallest cover screen of the trio.
Its proportions are reported to resemble the Galaxy Z Fold 7, suggesting Samsung may be leaning toward a taller and more imposing design for the Ultra model. That approach keeps the Ultra positioned as the most premium-looking option in the lineup.
The Wide Variant Takes a Different Route
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 wide variant, by contrast, appears to use a shorter screen protector. Even so, it is described as wider than the Ultra version, which gives it a noticeably different overall shape.
That contrast suggests Samsung is not simply resizing one template. The company appears to be experimenting with proportions to separate the Fold models more clearly.
Galaxy Z Flip 8 Keeps Its Compact Identity
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 looks closer to the Galaxy Z Flip 7, with a compact cover display that remains practical and easy to handle. The design continues the Flip series’ focus on portability and everyday convenience.
That similarity may indicate Samsung is leaving the Flip formula largely unchanged. In other words, the brand seems more willing to reshape the Fold family than the smaller clamshell line.

Samsung has not confirmed any of these details, so the images should still be treated as a leak rather than a finished product reveal. Even so, screen protectors often provide one of the earliest clues about a phone’s design direction.
