Tecno has introduced the Spark 50 Pro with a design shift that is hard to ignore. The new model trims the body to 7.8 mm while also raising protection to IP69, making it one of the more distinctive entries in the Spark lineup.
That combination gives the phone a sharper identity than the regular Spark 50. It is thinner than the 8.2 mm Spark 50, yet it is built to better withstand dust and high-pressure water spray.
More protection, less bulk
The IP69 rating is a clear upgrade over the IP64 protection on the standard model. In practical terms, the Spark 50 Pro is designed for tougher exposure than basic splash resistance alone.
That makes the device more appealing for users who want a slimmer phone without giving up on durability. Tecno is positioning the model around everyday resilience as much as design refinement.
Camera upgrades take center stage
Tecno is also leaning on the camera system as a major selling point. The main camera uses a 50 MP Sony Lytia 600 sensor with a 1/1.95-inch size, giving the phone a more premium imaging package on paper.
The company pairs that sensor with FlashSnap technology, which supports shutter speeds up to 1/10,000 of a second. That feature is aimed at helping users capture fast-moving subjects with greater sharpness.

On the front, the Spark 50 Pro carries a 6.78-inch LCD screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. That should help deliver a smoother visual experience for scrolling and general use.
Under the hood, the phone runs on the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate, an octa-core chipset with clock speeds of up to 2.2 GHz. Tecno has not disclosed the physical RAM or internal storage configuration yet.

Even without full memory details, Tecno says the Spark 50 Pro supports Memory Fusion 4.0, which can expand virtual RAM to a total of 24 GB. The company says that this also helps support on-device AI features and multitasking.
The biggest compromise appears in the battery department. Capacity drops from 6,500 mAh on the Spark 50 to 6,000 mAh on the Pro, although a 5,600 mAh version is also mentioned for select markets.
Faster charging and launch colors
Tecno offsets the smaller battery with a faster charging rate. The Spark 50 Pro supports 60W fast charging, up from 45W on the regular Spark 50.
It comes in five color options: Dynamic Orange, Midnight Blue, Ink Black, Titanium Grey, and Cloud White. Tecno has not announced official pricing or availability details for specific markets yet.
For now, the Spark 50 Pro stands out as a model built around thinner design, stronger protection, and a more capable camera system. The lower battery capacity is the clearest trade-off, but the faster charging speed and added durability help balance that change.
