Amazfit has introduced the Balance Ultra as a premium smartwatch aimed at athletes and outdoor users who need more than standard fitness tracking. Its pitch is clear: rugged materials, long battery life, and navigation tools built for demanding conditions.
The watch stands out immediately with a Grade 5 titanium alloy case and sapphire crystal protection. Amazfit says the device has been tested against impact, vibration, temperature shock, and extreme weather, while also carrying a 10 ATM water-resistance rating.
Built for harsh environments
Balance Ultra measures 44.8 mm x 44.8 mm and weighs 57 grams without the strap. It is offered in Black and Black-Brown, giving the model a restrained but premium look that matches its outdoor-focused positioning.
The display is a 1.5-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels. Amazfit says peak brightness can reach 3,000 nits, which should help readability under strong sunlight during outdoor activity.
Battery life is the headline feature
Battery endurance is one of the strongest selling points here. Amazfit equips the Balance Ultra with a 780mAh battery and claims up to 30 days of typical use, or 15 days under heavy use.
For satellite tracking, the watch is said to last up to 50 hours in precision GPS mode. A power-saving GPS mode is also available for users who need to stretch battery life even further on longer trips.
That combination makes the Balance Ultra especially relevant for travelers, runners, hikers, and cyclists who do not want to charge a watch every few days. It places endurance at the center of the product instead of treating battery life as a secondary feature.
Health tracking and training support
On the health side, the watch supports 24-hour heart-rate monitoring, SpO₂ tracking, skin temperature measurement, stress monitoring, sleep analysis, and women’s health tracking. It can also alert users if it detects abnormal heart rate, low blood oxygen, or high stress levels.
For workouts, the Balance Ultra supports more than 180 sports modes. Amazfit also includes HYROX training support and post-race analysis tools, which suggests a stronger focus on serious training rather than only casual activity logging.
Navigation without a phone
The navigation package is another major part of the watch’s identity. Balance Ultra includes built-in GPS, dual-band GPS support, and compatibility with six satellite positioning systems.
Offline maps and route navigation are also included, helping users stay oriented while running, hiking, or cycling in places where phone connectivity may be unreliable. For outdoor users, that makes the watch more than a health tracker and closer to a self-contained navigation device.
Software, storage, and extras
Balance Ultra runs Zepp OS 6 and comes with 64GB of internal storage. It also supports integration with platforms such as Strava, TrainingPeaks, Komoot, adidas Running, and Intervals.icu.
Additional hardware features include a built-in LED flashlight with white, red, and SOS light modes. In China, the Amazfit Balance Ultra is priced at 4,299 yuan and is already available through JD.com, while its global price is listed at around $600.
