Realme has quietly expanded its P4x lineup with a 4G model that leans heavily on endurance. The headline feature is an 8,000mAh battery, a larger cell than the 7,000mAh unit found on the P4x 5G.
The company has kept 45W fast charging in place, giving the phone a combination that should appeal to users who care more about long battery life than premium positioning. That focus is reinforced by a revised rear design and several hardware changes that set the 4G version apart from the earlier 5G model.
A bigger battery, but not a heavier compromise on charging
For a device in this class, the move to 8,000mAh is the clearest signal of Realme’s priorities. The larger capacity gives the P4x 4G a more endurance-focused identity while still preserving practical charging speeds for daily use.
That balance matters because the phone does not abandon convenience in pursuit of battery size. By keeping 45W charging, Realme aims to make the bigger battery easier to live with instead of turning it into a burden between top-ups.
Display and front design take a different route
The P4x 4G uses a 6.8-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is slightly larger than the display on the 5G version, and the front-facing design changes as well.
Instead of a punch-hole camera, the 4G model uses a waterdrop-style notch. The rear panel has also been redesigned and now includes an AI Pulse light, giving the handset a distinct visual identity compared with its 5G sibling.
Core hardware keeps the phone in the practical category
Under the hood, Realme equips the P4x 4G with an octa-core Unisoc T7250 chip and 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage support goes up to 256GB using eMMC 5.1, and the phone also includes a dedicated microSD slot.
That storage setup is useful for buyers who want expansion without giving up a second SIM. Realme offers the device in 64GB and 256GB variants, with the announced official configuration being 4GB/256GB.
Camera setup stays simple and direct
The rear camera system is led by a 50MP main sensor with autofocus. Rather than adding multiple lenses for marketing effect, Realme appears to have kept the setup focused on a single primary camera.
On the front, the phone uses a 5MP selfie camera. The overall arrangement fits the device’s positioning as a straightforward handset built around endurance, basic usability, and a few well-placed upgrades.
Everyday features, protection, and connectivity
The fingerprint reader is mounted on the side, and the phone still includes a 3.5mm headphone jack along with a USB Type-C port. Realme also gives the P4x 4G an IP64 rating, adding protection against dust and splashes.
Connectivity is broadly familiar, with dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, Bluetooth LE, and GPS included. Those specifications make the device complete enough for standard daily use even if its main appeal remains battery life.
Size, weight, color options, and price
The phone measures 8.78mm thick and weighs 219 grams, which is understandable given the battery capacity inside. Realme offers it in Phantom Navy and Rally White.
The announced price for the 4GB/256GB version is MYR 799. With its larger battery, 120Hz screen, 50MP main camera, and updated exterior, the Realme P4x 4G stands out as a practical alternative in the lineup rather than a flashy reinvention.
