Meta’s latest glasses arrive with a clear message: AI is no longer being framed as a device category reserved for obvious gadgets. At $299, or around Rp4.9 million, the new Meta Glasses are being positioned as everyday wearables that can move from morning to night without looking out of place.
The launch, carried out with EssilorLuxottica, also brings a fashion-first angle that Meta has been pushing more aggressively. A separate version tied to Kylie Jenner adds another layer of attention, but the bigger story is how the company is trying to make smart glasses feel normal enough for daily use.
Design takes priority over the usual tech look
Meta says the glasses are meant to help users see the world from their own point of view, while keeping the design rooted in classic style and premium materials. That approach is meant to let AI live inside an accessory that still feels like part of personal style.
The new lineup offers 26 different styles, giving users more room to match frame shape and lenses to their face and routine. The collection is split into three main silhouettes, each aiming at a different kind of everyday wear.
Meta Adventurer comes with a clean rectangular shape and is available in standard and large sizes. Meta Fury uses a thicker frame for a more assertive look, while Meta Glasses by Kylie leans on a slim oval frame inspired by Kylie Jenner’s personal style.
Color options stay understated, with Classic Black, Classic Tortoise, and Racing Green among the choices. The glasses also support Rx Lens Swap, which lets buyers fit prescription lenses through an optician after purchase without voiding the official warranty.
Built to stay on for hours
For a product intended to be worn throughout the day, Meta has added anti-break hinges, nose pads, and adjustable temple tips. Those hardware details are aimed at making the frame easier to live with during long stretches of wear.
Beyond the frame itself, the glasses include a Meta AI button for instant access to the assistant or favorite features. Open-ear audio is also built in, allowing users to hear calls, music, and podcasts while still staying aware of their surroundings.
A multi-microphone setup with wind noise reduction supports clearer voice pickup during calls and voice commands outdoors. The glasses also include an integrated camera for hands-free photos and video, along with a privacy indicator light that signals when the camera is active.
Meta says battery life can last more than 8 hours, which is central to its push to market the device as something that can accompany users from morning to night. The company is clearly aiming beyond short sessions and into all-day wear.
Muse Spark powers the AI layer
At the center of the experience is Muse Spark, the first AI model developed specifically for Meta’s hardware by Meta Superintelligence Labs. Meta says the model brings a major jump in multimodal capability, helping the glasses understand what the wearer is looking at.
That visual understanding enables assistance that goes beyond simple voice commands. The system can suggest local restaurants, manage calendar schedules more precisely, and respond to visual context in a more useful way.
Meta is also planning software updates that expand what the glasses can do over time. These include Dynamic Photo, which captures several frames automatically to pick the best shot, pedestrian navigation with audio turn-by-turn guidance, and Live Translation for real-time translation in 20 languages.
Where the glasses are sold
The new Meta Glasses are already available in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and several European countries. Buyers can purchase them through Meta.com as well as large retailers including Amazon and Best Buy.
Meta is also offering a Charging Stand with a more polished design, made to work with other Meta AI glasses as well. The dock is meant for a desk or bedside table, reinforcing the idea that these glasses are being built as part of a daily routine rather than a niche experiment.
