Oppo has expanded the Reno 16 5G family to global markets outside China with three models at once: Reno 16F 5G, Reno 16 5G, and Reno 16 Pro 5G. The lineup stands out for its unusually large batteries, 80W wired charging, and IP69K dust and water resistance across all models.
The most attention-grabbing detail is the Reno 16F 5G, which carries the largest battery in the series at 7,000mAh. The Reno 16 5G and Reno 16 Pro 5G are not far behind, each equipped with a 6,700mAh battery and support for 80W fast charging.
Three models, three price points
In Thailand, Oppo has positioned the Reno 16F 5G as the most affordable option in the family. The 8GB/128GB version is priced at THB 15,999, while the 8GB/256GB model costs THB 16,999.
The Reno 16 5G moves into the upper midrange with a starting price of THB 19,999 for the 8GB/256GB configuration. A 12GB/256GB variant is also available for THB 22,999.
At the top of the range, the Reno 16 Pro 5G is listed in Thailand at THB 26,999 for the 12GB/256GB model. Color choices vary by device, with Reno 16F 5G offered in Pop White, Dream Purple, and Twilight Violet.
The Reno 16 5G comes in Dream Purple, Twilight Violet, and Pop White, while the Reno 16 Pro 5G is available in Starlight Black and Pop White.
Shared software and hardware extras
All three phones ship with ColorOS 16 and carry IP69K certification. Oppo also includes support for the Oppo Bubble accessory, a wireless display that attaches magnetically to the phone and can show the rear camera feed in real time, including when used as a viewfinder.
The Reno 16 series also adds the AI Snap Key, a customizable button that can be set to take a screenshot with a short press, record a voice memo with a long press, and open AI Mind Space with a double press.
Reno 16F 5G focuses on endurance
The Reno 16F 5G uses a 6.57-inch AMOLED Crystal Guard+ display with full-HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,372 pixels. It supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,400 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode, a 92.8 percent screen-to-body ratio, and Crystal Guard glass protection.
Performance comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the back, the phone carries a 50MP wide camera with f/1.8 aperture and 2-axis OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.
For selfies, Oppo includes a 50MP front camera. The phone also offers an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, face recognition, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C, and a full set of sensors including ambient light, color temperature, electronic compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.
Reno 16 5G and Reno 16 Pro 5G push brightness and camera quality higher
The Reno 16 5G and Reno 16 Pro 5G share a 6.32-inch AMOLED Crystal Guard+ display with full-HD+ resolution. Both panels offer a 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, touch sampling up to 240Hz, up to 1,800 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode, and Crystal Guard glass protection.
Where they diverge is in refresh rate and chipset choice. The Reno 16 5G supports up to 120Hz and uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while the Reno 16 Pro 5G reaches 144Hz and runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super.
Camera hardware is also more ambitious. The Reno 16 5G includes three 50MP rear cameras, covering wide, telephoto with 2-axis OIS, and ultra-wide duties.
The Reno 16 Pro 5G raises the bar with a 200MP main camera with 2-axis OIS, plus a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2-axis OIS. Its front camera remains 50MP, matching the standard model.
Both models share the same connectivity and sensor package as the Reno 16F 5G, along with the 6,700mAh battery and 80W wired charging.
Dimensions and market position
The Reno 16 5G measures about 151.21 x 72.42 x 8.22 mm and weighs around 182 grams. The Reno 16 Pro 5G is slightly slimmer at 8.20 mm, though its weight remains about 182 grams.
With large batteries, bright AMOLED panels, high-resolution cameras, and IP69K protection, Oppo is clearly aiming the global Reno 16 lineup at buyers who want endurance and premium features in one package. The Oppo Bubble accessory and AI Snap Key add extra distinction to a crowded upper-midrange field.
