Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 Arrives in Indonesia, a Tablet That Feels Closer to a Laptop

Lenovo has positioned the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 as more than a typical Android tablet. With a large display, keyboard support, and office software aimed at desktop-style workflows, the device is built to narrow the gap between tablet and laptop use.

The strongest signal comes from WPS Office PC Level, which is designed to deliver a laptop-like document editing experience. Lenovo says the app brings a desktop-style interface and cloud synchronization support, while also remaining compatible with Microsoft Office formats both online and offline.

Built for mobile productivity

That approach makes the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 a clear fit for users who want one device for work, study, and entertainment. Lenovo also supports the tablet with the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus and the Lenovo 2-in-1 Keyboard with Trackpad, two accessories that push everyday use even closer to a lightweight laptop setup.

The display plays a major role in that positioning. The tablet uses a 13-inch PureSight Pro panel with 3.5K resolution and up to 144 Hz refresh rate, giving more room for documents, presentations, and multitasking than smaller tablets usually offer.

For longer sessions, Lenovo adds Low Blue Light and Flicker Free technologies. Those features are meant to reduce eye discomfort during extended reading, editing, or entertainment use.

Performance, AI tools, and connectivity

Under the hood, Lenovo equips the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The tablet also includes a set of AI-powered features such as Smarter Reader, AI Notes, Live Transcript, and Smart AI Input.

Those tools are aimed at everyday tasks such as reading documents, taking notes, transcribing conversations, and speeding up typing. The camera setup is practical rather than flashy, with an 8 MP front camera and a 13 MP rear camera for video calls, document scanning, and basic photography.

Audio support also gets attention. Lenovo uses JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos, while connectivity includes USB-C, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 6 for modern accessory and network support.

The software side runs on Android 16, and Lenovo says the device can be upgraded to Android 18. That gives the tablet a longer runway than many devices in the same class.

Batteries, pricing, and availability

Power comes from a 10,200 mAh battery, which Lenovo says is designed to last through a full day of use. The tablet also supports 45W fast charging, a useful addition for people who rely on it while moving between classes, meetings, or travel.

In Indonesia, the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 became available on 25 June 2026. It comes in three color choices: Luna Grey, Cloud Grey, and Jelly Mint.

Lenovo sells the tablet in bundled packages. The first includes the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus and is priced at Rp 8.899.000, while the second pairs the tablet with the Lenovo 2-in-1 Keyboard Pack for Rp 9.899.000.

At that price range, Lenovo is clearly targeting users who want a tablet that can do more than stream video and browse the web. With a 13-inch display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a large battery, and laptop-style accessories, the Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is aimed at people who want Android productivity in a more serious form.
