Vivo has pushed its foldable lineup into a new category of ambition with the X Fold 6. The device pairs a 200 MP Zeiss-branded main camera with a 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, two of the strongest headlines a foldable phone can offer right now.
That combination matters because foldables often force buyers to choose between portability, imaging, and endurance. Vivo is trying to weaken that trade-off by giving the X Fold 6 a camera system and battery capacity that stand out immediately in the premium segment.
Camera hardware built to stand out
The main camera uses a Samsung HPB sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches and is paired with a Zeiss lens. Vivo says the same sensor is also used on the telephoto cameras of the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro.
Beyond the primary camera, the rear setup includes a 50 MP ultrawide lens and a 50 MP telephoto camera based on the Sony LYT-602 sensor. That telephoto unit supports 3x optical zoom, giving the foldable a more flexible shooting range.
For users who want even longer reach, Vivo offers an optional Zeiss Teleconverter G2 accessory. With it, the camera system can extend its equivalent shooting distance to 200 mm.
A battery size that is unusual for a foldable
The other major talking point is the 7,000 mAh battery, which Vivo says is currently the largest capacity in its class among foldable phones. A battery of that size is still rare in this category, where internal space is tightly constrained.
Charging support remains strong as well. The X Fold 6 keeps 80 watt wired fast charging and 40 watt wireless charging, matching the kind of speed buyers expect from a premium device.
Compared with the previous Vivo X Fold 5, the new model adds roughly 1,000 mAh of battery capacity. That increase gives the phone a clearer edge for long workdays, media use, and multitasking.
Large displays and a focus on productivity
Vivo gives the X Fold 6 a 6.53-inch AMOLED cover display with a 20.3:9 aspect ratio and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Inside, the phone opens to an 8.02-inch main display with a 4:3.7 aspect ratio and the same 120 Hz refresh rate.
Both panels are said to reach up to 5,000 nits of local brightness. That level should help visibility in bright environments and reinforces the phone’s premium positioning.
To support multitasking, Vivo adds a new feature called Atomic Workbench. It allows users to run up to five apps at once in separate windows, which fits the larger canvas that foldable phones are meant to provide.
Flagship performance and durability
Under the hood, the X Fold 6 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset. It can be configured with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The device ships with Android 16 and OriginOS 6 Fold, giving it the software package expected from a top-tier foldable. Vivo also gives the phone IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust resistance and protection against high-pressure hot water spray.
Price and availability in China
Vivo launched the X Fold 6 in China on Friday, 26/6/2026. It comes in blue, white, and black, with three memory variants on sale in the market.
| Configuration | Price |
|---|---|
| 12 GB/256 GB | 7,999 yuan |
| 16 GB/512 GB | 9,999 yuan |
| 16 GB/1 TB | 11,999 yuan |
Vivo has not announced any global release schedule yet, so China is the first market to get the foldable. For now, the X Fold 6 arrives as one of the most aggressive attempts to combine imaging, battery life, and foldable convenience in a single flagship device.
