AI in Indonesia is no longer being framed as a future experiment. At HP Elevate 2026, HP Indonesia positioned it as a working layer inside daily office routines, from collaboration and decision-making to security and printing.
The bigger message was not about a single device launch. It was about building an office ecosystem that combines AI PCs, software, security, and printing into one more connected workflow.
AI adoption is rising, but business value is still catching up
HP said AI adoption in Indonesia grew 47% year on year in 2025, with around 18 million businesses already using the technology. The figures show how quickly AI has moved from a niche topic to a mainstream business tool.
The impact is also becoming visible in business performance. HP noted that 59% of companies reported revenue growth, while 64% of organizations expected cost efficiency of up to 29%.
Even so, many companies are still in the early phase of implementation. That leaves substantial room for AI to become more integrated into daily operations rather than used only in isolated tasks.
Users are ready, but companies still need the right systems
According to the HP Work Relationship Index 2025, 94% of knowledge workers in Indonesia already use AI. Half of them use it every day, showing that AI has become a familiar work tool for professionals.
Juliana Cen, President Director of HP Indonesia, said AI is no longer a long-term ambition. She described it as part of how people work, create, and make decisions every day.
That shift also raises a more practical question: how to turn heavy usage into measurable business results. HP’s answer is to pair AI with devices and platforms that make work faster, safer, and more productive.
HP IQ pushes AI closer to the device
One of the key announcements at the event was HP IQ, HP’s AI ecosystem for the new workplace. It combines on-device AI, integration with HP Workforce Experience Platform, and a more automated work experience.
The approach reflects a broader move toward edge computing, where AI processing happens directly on the laptop or PC instead of relying entirely on the cloud. HP says this model offers three main advantages: speed, security, and efficiency.
By placing AI closer to the user, HP is targeting office work, creative work, and gaming with a more responsive system design. That positioning also signals where the company sees the next phase of workplace computing heading.
New AI PC lineup covers premium, hybrid, and everyday use
HP Elevate 2026 also introduced the HP OmniBook Next Gen AI PC lineup, which delivers up to 50 NPU TOPS. The range includes OmniBook Ultra, OmniBook X Flip, OmniBook 7, OmniBook 5, OmniBook 3, and OmniStudio X.
Each model is aimed at a different user profile. OmniBook Ultra is positioned for premium users, while OmniBook X Flip comes in a 2-in-1 format.
OmniBook 7 is designed as an ultra-light laptop under 1 kg. OmniBook 5 and OmniBook 3 are meant for daily productivity and entry-level AI use, while OmniStudio X is an all-in-one PC for creators and entertainment.
Enterprise devices, printing, and security get an update too
HP also expanded its enterprise and hybrid work portfolio with the EliteBook X G2 Series, EliteBook 8 G2 Series, EliteBook X Flip G2, ProBook 4 G2 Series, and EliteBoard G1a AI PC. All of them are built with HP Wolf Security as the main protection layer.
The company also updated HP Wolf Pro Security and HP Workforce Experience Platform with AI features for threat detection, device analysis, and digital workplace optimization. That adds another layer to the company’s push for AI-driven workplace management.
On the printing side, HP refreshed the LaserJet Pro 4000 Series, LaserJet Enterprise 5000 Series, and LaserJet Enterprise 6000 Series. The new business printers bring AI-based automation, enterprise-grade security, and better efficiency.
Gaming gear and digital talent programs remain part of the strategy
For gamers, HP highlighted the OMEN 16 VALORANT Limited Edition, OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop, OMEN OLED 34 monitor 360Hz, HyperX Flipcast microphone, and HyperX Clutch Tachi controller. The lineup shows that HP is still treating gaming as a performance-driven category.
Beyond hardware, HP also pointed to its digital transformation commitments in Indonesia. Those include collaboration with Real Madrid Foundation and Harapan Project, the HP Digital Equity Accelerator with Solve Education Foundation and Markoding, and the HP IDEA teacher training program.
Together, the announcements suggest a clear direction: HP wants to connect AI PCs, security, printing, gaming, and digital skills into one broader workplace ecosystem for Indonesia.
