Vivo X500 Pro Max is emerging as one of the most ambitious camera-focused flagships in the latest wave of leaks. The device is said to pair a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto unit.
That combination alone would place the phone in a very competitive position, but the reported upgrades do not stop there. The same leaks also point to a new-generation flagship chipset, a 2K LTPO OLED display, and an unusually large battery.
A three-camera setup built around imaging flexibility
The most notable detail comes from Digital Chat Station, which says the Vivo X500 Pro Max may use a Sony LOFIC 50MP main sensor with a 1/1.28-inch size. The LOFIC technology is designed to preserve detail in both bright and dark areas when lighting conditions are difficult.
If that information proves accurate, the main camera could deliver more balanced contrast and a more natural look in challenging scenes. The leak also suggests the main sensor may be the upcoming Sony LYT-838, adding another layer of interest to the camera system.
The ultra-wide camera is also reportedly getting a major upgrade. Instead of being treated as a secondary feature, the 50MP ultra-wide lens would give the phone a more serious wide-angle option alongside the main and telephoto cameras.
The 200MP telephoto unit is the headline feature
Attention naturally shifts to the 200MP periscope telephoto camera, which is said to use an 85mm focal length and a 1/1.4-inch sensor. That setup could make the phone especially appealing for long-range shots as well as telephoto macro photography.
Vivo is also said to be improving optical image stabilization for this lens, which would help maintain sharpness when shooting distant subjects. In a flagship market where camera hardware often competes on versatility as much as raw resolution, this telephoto module may become the most distinctive element of the phone.
Flagship performance and an oversized battery
Beyond imaging, the leaks point to a Dimensity 9600 Pro processor for the Vivo X500 Pro Max. It is also described as the first Vivo smartphone chipset made with TSMC’s 2nm manufacturing process.
The display is reportedly a 6.85-inch 2K LTPO OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. If accurate, that would place the device squarely in premium territory for both resolution and motion smoothness.
Battery capacity is another area where the phone stands out on paper. The leak mentions an around-8,000mAh battery, a figure that would make the X500 Pro Max unusually strong in endurance for a flagship-class handset.
Still unconfirmed, but the direction is clear
Vivo has not officially announced the X500 Pro Max or provided a launch schedule. Even so, the leaked details suggest a clear product strategy centered on imaging power, high-end performance, and battery life.
There is also a possibility that the device could receive a global release. If that happens, the Vivo X500 Pro Max may become one of the most closely watched models in the X500 series for users who prioritize photography and long-lasting battery performance.
