realme P4x Puts Battery Life First, and the Gaming Results Are Hard to Ignore

Battery life has become one of the clearest battlegrounds in the budget gaming phone segment, and realme P4x is built around that reality. Its 8,000 mAh titan battery is positioned as the main attraction for users who want longer play sessions without constant charging stops.

The device does not rely on capacity alone. In gaming tests, the phone showed efficient power use, stable performance, and temperatures that stayed under control during extended sessions, which strengthens its case for mobile gamers.

Long endurance is the main selling point

realme equips the P4x with an 8,000 mAh battery that it describes as the most affordable in its class. The large capacity is meant to support users who spend long hours gaming and want fewer interruptions from the charger.

The company claims the phone can last up to 9.48 hours in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and about 10.25 hours in PUBG Mobile on a full charge. It also includes Bionic Repair Technology, which is said to help preserve battery health over long-term use.

According to realme, that battery health support can extend to more than 1,600 charging cycles. The battery is also rated to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 53°C, while 45W SuperVooc handles replenishment and 6W Reverse Charging lets the phone act as a power bank for other devices.

How it performed in popular games

In a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang test, the realme P4x ran five consecutive matches over roughly 76 minutes on WiFi. Starting at 100%, the battery ended at 89% after the session.

That means a little more than one hour of play consumed around 11% of the charge. The result is a useful sign for players who often spend long stretches pushing rank.

The MLBB session also remained stable throughout. The game ran at 60 FPS without disruptive frame drops, and control response stayed consistent from the first match to the fifth.

Game TestDurationBattery DropNotable Result
Mobile Legends: Bang BangAbout 76 minutes11%60 FPS, stable throughout five matches
Honor of KingsAbout 16 minutes2%Smooth gameplay
PUBG MobileAbout 25 minutes3%Consistent performance
Free FireAbout 18 minutes2%Stable 60 FPS

Other game tests were similarly efficient. Honor of Kings used only 2% of the battery in about 16 minutes, while PUBG Mobile consumed 3% over roughly 25 minutes.

Free Fire posted the same 2% drop in about 18 minutes, and the game reportedly remained steady at 60 FPS without noticeable frame drops.

Heat management stays under control

Thermal behavior is another important factor during long gaming sessions, and the P4x kept temperatures relatively restrained. During the MLBB test, the device rose from 34°C to 38°C after five straight matches.

In Honor of Kings and PUBG Mobile, temperatures stayed around 36°C. During Free Fire, the reading moved from 31°C to 34°C, showing that heat remained manageable across different workloads.

To support that consistency, realme uses a 10,000 mm² graphite cooling system. The phone also includes Bypass Charging, which sends power directly to the motherboard while charging to reduce heat and help preserve battery health over the long term.

realme P4x even earned a MURI record for 10 hours of nonstop MOBA gaming. The record attempt involved pro players such as RRQ Clayyy and RRQ Tuturuuu.

Gaming tools beyond the battery

realme also adds AI Gaming Partner Game Space to optimize the playing experience. The feature can be accessed quickly without leaving the game that is already running.

Available tools include Ultra Boost Smart Resource Optimization, Network Optimization, Cleanup Acceleration, and Do Not Disturb. Together, they are meant to keep performance, connectivity, and distractions under control during gameplay.

Do Not Disturb is one of the most practical additions because it blocks notifications while a game is in progress. Network Optimization also helps maintain a stable connection, with MLBB ping staying around 16-20 ms in testing.

Players can further choose which games to optimize through Game Manager. That gives the phone a more flexible setup depending on the title being played.

Not only for gaming

The realme P4x also performed well in PCMark Work 3.1 Battery Life testing. Running from roughly 90% to 20% in a workload that simulated browsing, scrolling, and document processing, it reached 21 hours 58 minutes.

During that test, the temperature increased slightly from 32°C to 36°C. The result suggests that the phone’s efficiency is not limited to gaming, but extends to everyday use as well.

For lighter mixed usage such as social media scrolling, browsing, YouTube streaming, and messaging, battery consumption is around 5% per hour. Under that pattern, the phone is estimated to last about 18 to 20 hours before needing a recharge.

When left on standby overnight with the connection still active, the battery drops only about 2-3%. That low idle drain suggests the phone does not lose power quickly when it is not in active use.

As a finishing touch, realme also includes a 120Hz display. The P4x is positioned as a budget gaming phone sold through an online-exclusive strategy on e-commerce platforms.
