Motorola has placed the Moto Pad 70 Pro in a very unusual position in the tablet market. With a promotional price below 35,000 Rupee, or around Rp6.5 million, it offers a level of hardware that can make entry-level laptops look modest by comparison.
The appeal is not limited to the price alone. The tablet combines a 12.7-inch display, a slim 6.2 mm aluminum body, and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a chipset more commonly associated with premium devices.
Premium design with practical extras
Despite weighing 600 grams, the Moto Pad 70 Pro keeps a slim profile that still feels balanced in hand. Its aluminum construction gives it a more refined look, even though the back panel is said to pick up dirt and fingerprints easily.
Motorola also includes a set of connectivity features that push it closer to a productivity machine. The tablet offers USB Type-C 3.2 with external display output, a MicroSD slot supporting up to 2 TB, quad JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos, and pogo pins for an optional keyboard.
Large 3.5K screen built for work and entertainment
The display is one of the strongest parts of the device. Motorola uses a 12-bit IPS LCD panel with 3.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, while Dolby Vision support helps HDR content appear more vivid.
Brightness reaches 800 nits in HBM mode, which makes the screen comfortable for indoor use but still less ideal under direct sunlight. The audio system is equally ambitious, with four JBL speakers delivering loud, clear, and rich sound for video playback, online meetings, and gaming.
Performance aimed well above the tablet class
Inside, Motorola pairs the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options include 128 GB with UFS 3.1 and 256 GB with UFS 4.0, giving buyers a choice between speed and capacity.
Synthetic testing shows how far this tablet goes. The AnTuTu score reaches 2.3 million, while the Wild Life Stress Test records 86.9 percent stability with a score above 15,000 points.
Real-world gaming performance is equally strong. In a 30-minute Genshin Impact session, the tablet maintained an average frame rate above 59 FPS while staying at around 36 degrees Celsius.
That level of performance is also why the Moto Pad 70 Pro is considered suitable for Windows game emulation. In practice, it is one of the clearest examples of a tablet trying to serve as a compact laptop alternative.
Battery life is strong, charging is less impressive
The device carries a 10,200 mAh battery, which delivers around 8 to 9 hours of Screen-on Time during heavy use. That puts it in a comfortable range for a full workday of mixed tasks.
Motorola includes a 68W charger in the box, but the tablet accepts only up to 45W input. As a result, a full charge from empty still takes around two hours or more.
Software and pricing position it as a productivity tool
The Moto Pad 70 Pro runs Moto ZUI 18 based on Android 16, and Motorola promises updates through Android 18. The software package includes Persistent Dock, PC Mode, Smart Connect, Circle to Search, Google Gemini, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.
Camera hardware is modest but serviceable, with a 13 MP rear camera for document scanning and an 8 MP front camera for video calls. In India, the 8/128 GB model is priced at 36,999 Rupee normally and drops to 32,999 Rupee during the launch discount.
The 8/256 GB version is listed at 35,999 Rupee, while adding the external keyboard for 6,000 Rupee brings the total to about 41,999 Rupee, or around Rp7.9 million.
For buyers who want a tablet that pushes far beyond typical mid-range expectations, the Moto Pad 70 Pro makes a strong case with its screen, performance, and productivity features.
