Realme P4 Feels Far More Worth It, Even With a Higher Price Tag

In the midrange smartphone segment, a small price gap can reshape the buying decision entirely. That is exactly what happens with OnePlus N6 and Realme P4, two models aimed at value-focused buyers but separated by a much wider difference in overall package quality.

Realme P4 starts at 24,499 rupees after the price increase, while OnePlus N6 is listed from 22,999. The 1,500-rupee gap is modest, yet Realme P4 adds clear advantages in display quality, performance, cameras, and charging speed.

Display and design make the difference visible immediately

Realme P4 is built around a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1080 x 2392 resolution, and a peak brightness level of 4500 nits. By contrast, OnePlus N6 uses a 6.8-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 720 x 1570 resolution, and 1200 nits HBM.

For everyday browsing, both can still serve their purpose, but the Realme P4 panel is clearly the more premium option for streaming, scrolling, and general media use. The same gap continues in the body design, where Realme P4 is thinner at 7.6 mm, lighter at 185 grams, and rated IP68 and IP69.

OnePlus N6 uses a flatter design, weighs 224 grams, measures 8.9 mm thick, and carries an IP65 rating. That gives it basic dust and splash protection, but not the same level of durability certification as its rival.

Model Display Weight Protection
Realme P4 6.77-inch AMOLED, 144Hz, 1080 x 2392, 4500 nits 185 g IP68/IP69
OnePlus N6 6.8-inch IPS LCD, 120Hz, 720 x 1570, 1200 nits HBM 224 g IP65

Performance also points to a different buyer profile

Under the hood, OnePlus N6 runs on the Dimensity 6360 Apex with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and comes with 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. That setup is aimed at daily use and casual gaming rather than demanding multitasking.

Realme P4 uses the Dimensity 7400 Ultra paired with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU and 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM. This gives it more headroom for heavier apps, smoother multitasking, and longer-term performance stability.

Benchmark results from Nanoreview underline the gap. OnePlus N6 scores around 567,623 on AnTuTu, while Realme P4 reaches about 958,940.

The difference carries over to Geekbench as well. OnePlus N6 records roughly 782 in single-core and 1,989 in multi-core, while Realme P4 posts around 997 and 2,955.

Cameras and battery show the clearest trade-offs

Both phones include a 50 MP main camera, but Realme P4 adds an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 16 MP front camera. OnePlus N6, on the other hand, is listed with an 8 MP front camera only.

That makes Realme P4 the more flexible option for group shots, landscapes, and selfies. OnePlus N6 still has a practical camera base for daylight photos and natural color rendering, but its setup is more limited overall.

Battery life is where OnePlus N6 pushes back. It carries an 8,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging, 5W reverse wired charging, and bypass charging.

Realme P4 uses a 7,000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging, 10W reverse wired charging, and bypass charging. OnePlus N6 therefore has the larger battery, while Realme P4 is much quicker to recharge.

Storage options reinforce the value argument

OnePlus N6 is offered with 128 GB of storage and either 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM. Realme P4 expands that range with 128 GB or 256 GB storage and 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM.

For buyers who keep large files, install heavier games, or want more room for apps, the Realme P4 configuration is simply more versatile. In practical terms, that extra memory and storage can also help the phone stay comfortable to use over a longer period.

The comparison leaves a clear split in priorities. OnePlus N6 is the lower-priced choice for users who want a bigger battery, while Realme P4 offers the stronger overall package for just 1,500 rupees more.
