Nubia is moving aggressively in gaming smartphones at a moment when the global memory shortage has made many brands more cautious. Instead of pulling back, the company is preparing two devices for Indonesia with unusually large RAM capacity.
The lineup consists of the Redmagic 11S Pro and the Nubia Neo 5 GT Special Edition. Both are aimed at performance-focused users, but they target different price tiers and different expectations.
Redmagic 11S Pro leads with flagship hardware
The most attention-grabbing model is the Redmagic 11S Pro, which comes with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. That combination places it among the most memory-rich gaming phones scheduled for the market.
The rear of the device also carries a mark indicating the use of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version. That chipset reinforces its position as a top-end gaming smartphone.
Selular previously tested the Redmagic 11S Pro on Wednesday, 1/7/2026. During that test, the device was even used to run Ghost of Tsushima, a game that is generally associated with PC play.
| Model | RAM | Storage | Launch Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Redmagic 11S Pro | 16 GB | 512 GB | Rp18.999.000 |
| Nubia Neo 5 GT Special Edition | 12 GB | 256 GB | Starting from Rp5.999.000 |
A more affordable option still keeps generous memory
On the same day, Nubia will also bring the Neo 5 GT Special Edition. The device is positioned as a more accessible gaming option, but it still ships with a sizeable 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Nubia is also preparing an extra launch benefit for buyers. One of the stated bonuses is a 300GB Axis data package.
The quoted starting price for the Neo 5 GT Special Edition is Rp5.999.000. That makes it a lower-entry alternative for users who want a gaming phone without moving into flagship pricing.
Pricing adds another layer to the appeal
The Redmagic 11S Pro is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, with a listed price of Rp18.999.000. That figure is also said to be below its global price of around Rp21.999.000.
For buyers in Indonesia, the local pricing creates a stronger value case, especially for a model that sits at the high end of the gaming segment. The Neo 5 GT Special Edition broadens that appeal by offering a cheaper path into the same ecosystem.
Nubia’s two-model strategy shows confidence in a difficult market environment. While the memory shortage has made many companies more defensive, Nubia is choosing to lean into large-capacity gaming devices instead.
That approach gives Indonesian consumers a clear split between a flagship model with extreme specifications and a more affordable model with still-strong memory hardware. In a market where gaming phones often compete on performance and storage, Nubia is placing both on display at once.
