MacBook Prices Surge in July, Even the Cheapest Model Is No Longer Under Rp 10 Million

MacBook prices in Indonesia have climbed sharply in July 2026, leaving no model in the sub-Rp 10 million range. The adjustment follows a global RAM crisis that has pushed component costs higher across the lineup.

The steepest impact is being felt by the MacBook Pro series, which now sits far above previous pricing levels. For buyers planning an upgrade, the shift is large enough to force a fresh look at budgets before heading to a store.

The entry point has moved higher across the board

According to Suara.com, which compiled the figures from iBox as the official distributor in Indonesia, the latest pricing reflects a broad market adjustment. The pressure from the semiconductor shortage has also lifted memory costs, affecting nearly every configuration listed for July.

The MacBook Neo remains the most affordable option, but even that model now starts at Rp 13.499.000 for the 8 GB RAM / 256 GB SSD version. Its 8 GB RAM / 512 GB SSD variant is priced at Rp 15.749.000, and both versions have risen by Rp 2,75 million.

MacBook Air now occupies the middle of the range

The MacBook Air line has also moved upward, especially in higher-memory and higher-storage configurations. The 13-inch model now starts at Rp 25.249.000 for the 16 GB RAM / 512 GB SSD version and reaches Rp 35.499.000 for the 24 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD variant.

The 15-inch MacBook Air follows the same pattern, beginning at Rp 28.999.000 for 16 GB RAM / 512 GB SSD and climbing to Rp 39.499.000 for 24 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD. Both sizes show how quickly the price gap widens once storage and memory are increased.

MacBook Pro 14-inch posts the sharpest jump

The biggest rise appears in the MacBook Pro 14-inch lineup, especially the M5 Pro versions. The 16 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD model is now listed at Rp 49.499.000, while the 24 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD configuration reaches Rp 58.499.000.

Outside the Pro variants, the MacBook Pro 14-inch M5 with 16 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD is priced at Rp 38.999.000. That places the Pro line well above the rest of the range and makes the latest adjustments especially noticeable for performance-focused buyers.

Even with the higher costs, demand for the macOS ecosystem is expected to remain steady in Indonesia because of its reputation for performance and power efficiency. Buyers who are considering a purchase are being advised to recheck their budgets before visiting the nearest store.
