Xiaomi 18 Pro is shaping up to be one of the brand’s most ambitious flagships yet, with leaks pointing to major upgrades across the board. The most striking claims center on performance, battery life, and camera hardware.
According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the device is expected to be among the first phones to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, with the Xiaomi 18 Pro specifically tied to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SoC. That same leak also points to a small flat display, large rounded corners, and extremely thin symmetrical bezels on all four sides.
A cleaner front, built for the premium tier
If the leak proves accurate, Xiaomi 18 Pro is not just chasing raw speed. It is also aiming for a cleaner front design that looks more refined than many rival flagships.
The combination of a compact flat display, ultra-thin bezels, and large rounded corners suggests a phone designed to stand out visually while keeping the overall feel modern and premium.
| Aspect | Leaked Xiaomi 18 Pro Detail |
|---|---|
| Chipset | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SoC |
| Display | Small flat display with large rounded corners |
| Bezel | Ultra-thin and symmetrical on all four sides |
Camera hardware and everyday hardware both get a boost
The camera setup is also said to move up a level. Xiaomi 18 Pro is reportedly getting a 200MP main camera with a very large sensor, alongside a 200MP periscope macro telephoto camera with a large sensor.
That combination points to a strong focus on both close-up shooting and zoom flexibility, which would make the device more versatile than a typical camera-first flagship.
| Component | Leak Detail |
|---|---|
| Main camera | 200MP, using an ultra-large sensor |
| Periscope macro telephoto camera | 200MP, using a large sensor |
| Audio | Upgraded dual speakers |
| Haptics | Relatively large vibration motor |
Battery life may be the biggest surprise
One of the most eye-catching claims is the battery. The leak suggests Xiaomi 18 Pro could reach at least 7,000 mAh, which would put it in a much more serious endurance class than many current premium phones.
Charging support is said to include 100W wired charging and wireless charging as well. If that combination arrives intact, the phone could appeal to users who want strong battery life without giving up fast top-ups.
There is still no confirmation on whether the device will launch with Android 17, and all of these details remain unofficial for now. Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to debut alongside the Xiaomi 18 and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in September, with the family reportedly set to be the first to use Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
