Apple’s Education Deal Gives MacBook Pro the Biggest Gift Card After Price Rise

Apple is offering its largest education promotion gift card to buyers of the MacBook Pro in six markets. Eligible students and educators in the United States can receive a USD 150 gift card with that purchase.

The offer arrives after Apple raised prices on several core products, including the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iPad Air, and iPad Pro. The incentive gives eligible buyers an additional reason to review the local education store before the promotion ends on August 27.

MacBook Air, iPad Pro, and iPad Air are included as well, but each receives a lower gift card value. In every listed market, the MacBook Pro bonus is higher than the amount attached to those three devices.

MacBook Pro Leads the Gift Card Offer

According to GSMArena, the promotion is available in the United States, Canada, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Taiwan. The values differ by country, while the product ranking remains unchanged across all six markets.

Market MacBook Pro MacBook Air iPad Pro / iPad Air
United States USD 150 USD 100 USD 100
Canada CAD 210 CAD 140 CAD 140
Malaysia MYR 600 MYR 400 MYR 400
Philippines PHP 9,000 PHP 6,000 PHP 6,000
Thailand THB 5,100 THB 3,400 THB 3,400
Taiwan NTD 4,800 NTD 3,200 NTD 3,200

In Canada, the MacBook Pro comes with a CAD 210 gift card, while the other eligible devices receive CAD 140. Malaysia follows the same relative split, offering MYR 600 for the MacBook Pro and MYR 400 for the MacBook Air and both iPad models.

The Philippines offers PHP 9,000 with the MacBook Pro and PHP 6,000 with the other listed devices. Thailand sets the amounts at THB 5,100 and THB 3,400 respectively, while Taiwan offers NTD 4,800 and NTD 3,200.

Eligibility Is Limited to Education Buyers

The Apple Education Promotion is not open to every customer. Eligible participants include students attending public or private higher education institutions, parents of college students, and school employees.

Apple’s eligibility rules may vary by country. Buyers should check the terms in their local Apple store to confirm both their education status and the products covered by the offer.

MacBook Neo is not named among the eligible products. The devices explicitly listed are MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPad Pro, and iPad Air.

Other Markets Receive Different Incentives

Apple does not use the gift card format in every territory. Buyers in China, India, Mexico, Singapore, and Vietnam are offered a different education purchase incentive for Mac or iPad purchases.

In those markets, customers may receive a free package of four AirTags. Another available option is a small discount on selected AirPods rather than an Apple Gift Card.

The variation means the value of the promotion depends not only on the device but also on the country of purchase. Eligible buyers considering a MacBook Pro or iPad should verify the local offer before August 27, when the stated promotion period is due to close.
