Xiaomi is positioning the Mijia Electric Shaver as a low-cost grooming device with battery life rated at up to 90 days. That estimate is based on brief daily use of one minute, while a full USB-C charge takes about two hours.
The shaver also supports pass-through charging, allowing grooming to continue if the battery runs out during use. A simple LED indicator shows the device’s power status.
Rather than relying only on its battery specification, Xiaomi has added an adaptive motor system aimed at handling uneven beard density. An internal chip monitors blade resistance around 100 times per second and adjusts motor output when it detects denser hair.
The automatic response raises motor power and blade speed in areas that create more resistance. Xiaomi designed the system to reduce the chance of hairs being pulled during shaving.
Adaptive power for thicker facial hair
According to Gizmochina, the Mijia Electric Shaver uses a rotary arrangement with three shaving heads and two cutting rings. This layout is intended to cover a wider area of the face during each pass.
The motor can deliver up to 5 million cutting actions per minute. Xiaomi says its cutting mechanism improves shaving efficiency by about 48 percent compared with the preceding model.

Built for daily cleaning and travel
The device carries an IPX7 water-resistance rating for both wet and dry shaving. It can be rinsed after use without removing the entire shaving-head assembly.
A one-button pop-up hinge opens the head section to make hair removal easier. Xiaomi also includes a travel lock to prevent the shaver from turning on accidentally inside a bag.
The 360-degree floating frame is designed to follow the shape of the face, including sharper jawline areas. This design is intended to keep the blades close to the skin without requiring excessive pressure.
Foil construction focuses on lower friction
The foil uses an irregular wave pattern produced through metal injection molding, or MIM. It works with concave stainless-steel blades that guide facial hair toward the cutting area.
Xiaomi has added a micro-bead coating to the shaving head to reduce physical friction against the skin. The foil is made from low-nickel stainless steel that Xiaomi says meets European nickel-release standards.
That material choice may be relevant to people who are sensitive to metal contact on their skin. However, Xiaomi has not listed dedicated modes or separate settings for different skin types.
Pricing and colour options
In China, Xiaomi sells the Mijia Electric Shaver through the Youpin platform at a retail price of 249 yuan. Its launch-period price was set at 199.75 yuan.
The device is offered in Meteor Gray, Sky Blue, and Glacier Silver. Its combination of adaptive power control, USB-C charging, and IPX7 protection forms Xiaomi’s main proposition for an affordable electric shaver.
