Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra in Indonesia with a starting price of Rp32.499.000. The premium foldable combines an 8-inch main display, a 200 MP rear camera, and a 4.1 mm unfolded body.
The entry model includes 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The highest configuration reaches 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage at Rp44.499.000.

During the preorder period, Samsung is offering free storage upgrades for selected variants and bonuses worth up to Rp9 million. Buyers also receive six months of Google AI Pro and Galaxy Premier Service, while the 1 TB model includes two years of screen protection.
Built for Multitasking
The 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen has a QXGA+ resolution of 2,504 x 2,256 pixels. It supports an adaptive 1-120 Hz refresh rate, Vision Booster, and brightness of up to 3,000 nits.
When folded, the device offers a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display with a 1,080 x 2,520-pixel FHD+ resolution. The outer display also supports an adaptive 1-120 Hz refresh rate.
The handset measures 158.4 x 143.2 x 4.1 mm when unfolded and weighs 215 grams. When folded, it is 8.9 mm thick and 72.8 mm wide.
Samsung uses Flex Titanium Technology to strengthen the structure and reduce the visibility of the display crease. The phone also carries an IP48 durability rating.
200 MP Camera System
The rear camera setup consists of a 200 MP wide camera with OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a 10 MP telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom. Both the cover camera and the camera on the main display are rated at 10 MP.
HDR is supported in 200 MP mode for higher detail and a wider dynamic range. The 50 MP ultrawide camera is intended for landscapes, interiors, group shots, and macro photography.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra can record 8K video using the APV codec and Cine LUT. Nightography is available for photography and video capture in low-light conditions.
My FanCam uses AI to identify and follow a selected subject during video recording. The system can keep that subject centered and turn footage into vertical video for social media, while Dual Recording captures video from two cameras at once.
Performance, AI, and Security
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy and offers up to 16 GB of RAM. Samsung positions the combination for demanding multitasking, gaming, video editing, and AI features.
A 5,000 mAh battery supports 45W dual-path charging, 20W Fast Wireless Charging, and Wireless PowerShare. An expanded graphite cooling structure is designed to help maintain performance during 8K recording and other intensive workloads.
Ilham Indrawan, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, said the device was designed for Ultra-level productivity. “Besides a thinner and lighter design, the device brings a 200 MP camera, a larger screen, and a smarter Galaxy AI experience to support work and creativity,” he said.
Its Galaxy AI tools include Now Brief, Now Nudge, Gemini Intelligence, and Gemini Notebook. Security features include Personal Data Engine, Knox KEEP, and AI Activity Dashboard, while connectivity covers 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0.
Color options are Graphite, Cream, Violet Shadow, and Green Shadow. Green Shadow is exclusive to Samsung.com.
