Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at Rp28.499.000 in Indonesia, pairing a wider 4:3 main display with a 201-gram body. The combination positions the device as a premium foldable aimed at users who need more usable screen space without carrying a heavier handset.
The 4:3 display format is designed to make documents, spreadsheets, web pages, videos, and multi-app work feel less constrained than on a more elongated Fold screen. Samsung says the Galaxy Z Fold8 is the lightest Fold-series model it has made.
Three storage tiers for Indonesia
The Galaxy Z Fold8 is offered in three memory configurations, ranging from 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage to 16 GB RAM with 1 TB storage. The starting price applies to the 12 GB and 256 GB version.

Samsung is offering preorder bonuses worth up to Rp9 million, along with free storage upgrades for selected variants. Color options are Graphite, Cream, Lavender, and Pistachio, with Pistachio available exclusively through Samsung.com.
A larger workspace when unfolded
The main screen is a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with QXGA+ resolution and an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate. A 5.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen handles quick tasks while the phone remains closed.
The handset measures 4.5 mm thick when unfolded and 9.7 mm when folded. Its display can reach up to 3,000 nits of brightness and includes Vision Booster.
Ilham Indrawan, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, said the revised form factor was built for more immersive viewing. “Galaxy Z Fold8 comes with a new, wider form factor that provides a more immersive content consumption experience,” he said.
Flagship processor and multitasking tools
Samsung uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, supported by up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. The hardware is intended for multitasking, content editing, gaming, and AI-based functions.
Split View and drag-and-drop between applications take advantage of the wider display area. The device also includes Now Brief, Now Nudge, Gemini Intelligence, and Gemini Notebook for information searches, document summaries, and task support.
Dual 50 MP rear cameras
The rear camera system combines a 50 MP wide camera with OIS and a 50 MP ultrawide camera. The cover camera and the camera on the main display each use 10 MP sensors.
My FanCam uses AI to recognize and follow a selected subject during video recording. It can create vertical video from main-camera footage for easier social-media sharing.
Dual Recording enables simultaneous recording with two cameras, while Nightography and ProVisual Engine support photo and video processing. Samsung also includes Personal Data Engine, Knox KEEP, and AI Activity Dashboard for AI-related data protection.
Battery and connectivity
The Galaxy Z Fold8 carries a 4,800 mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 20W fast wireless charging. Wireless PowerShare is available for charging other devices wirelessly.
Connectivity includes 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0, while the handset has an IP48 durability rating. These specifications place the Galaxy Z Fold8 among foldables built to combine work-focused screen space with entertainment features.
