Vivo has raised the prices of several smartphones in Indonesia again, with the latest adjustment taking effect on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The move affects selected models from the Y and V series, while some flagship devices also show higher tags as global component costs continue to rise.
The company said the change is selective, not uniform, and tied to pressure from memory chips, chipsets, RAM, and internal storage. That matters for buyers because the price shift does not hit every Vivo phone at once, but it does signal that more models could follow if supply conditions remain tight.
Price increases hit mid-range and premium models
The clearest jump appears in the Vivo V60 Lite 8 GB/256 GB, which now costs Rp 5,299,000 from Rp 4,499,000. That is an increase of Rp 800,000, or about $50, using an exchange rate near Rp 16,000 per $1.
The Vivo V60 Lite 5G 8 GB/256 GB also moved up, reaching Rp 5,999,000 from Rp 5,499,000. The difference is Rp 500,000, or roughly $31, while the Vivo Y19sGT 5G 8 GB/256 GB is now listed at Rp 2,799,000, around $175.
Why Vivo says the adjustment was necessary
Vivo Indonesia PR Manager Alexa Tiara said the company does not apply one price policy across all products. “Price adjustments are carried out selectively and gradually, not uniformly for all products, according to each device’s specifications, cost structure, and market segment,” she said.
Her statement points to a broader industry reality, where phone makers must balance consumer demand against rising input costs. Memory prices have become a major pressure point, while limited supply of chipset, RAM, and storage components has made production planning more difficult.
Latest Vivo prices reported in Indonesia
Below is a simple snapshot of several updated Vivo models recorded on April 14, 2026.
| Model | Memory Variant | Latest Price | Approx. USD |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vivo Y19sGT 5G | 8 GB/256 GB | Rp 2,799,000 | $175 |
| Vivo V60 Lite | 8 GB/128 GB | Rp 4,699,000 | $294 |
| Vivo V60 Lite | 8 GB/256 GB | Rp 5,299,000 | $331 |
| Vivo V60 Lite 5G | 8 GB/256 GB | Rp 5,999,000 | $375 |
| Vivo X200 Pro | 16 GB/512 GB | Rp 17,999,000 | $1,125 |
| Vivo X Fold 5 | 16 GB/512 GB | Rp 24,999,000 | $1,562 |
The table shows that the latest adjustment is not limited to the mid-range category. Vivo’s flagship lineup is also affected, which suggests the cost pressure is broad enough to touch multiple product tiers.
A second price move this year
This is Vivo’s second price adjustment in 2026, after an earlier change in January that mainly focused on the Y series. The pattern indicates a gradual response to market conditions rather than a single large correction across the full portfolio.
Such a strategy is common in the smartphone industry when manufacturers face volatile component costs. By changing prices in stages, brands try to protect margins without sharply disrupting demand across every segment at once.
What remains stable for now
Some higher-end devices, including parts of the Vivo X300 lineup and the Vivo X Fold3 Pro, are still reported as stable for the moment. Even so, Vivo Indonesia has not indicated that these prices are guaranteed to remain unchanged if component costs keep climbing.
The company said it will continue monitoring global supply conditions before deciding on the next pricing step. For consumers, that means official channels remain the most reliable place to check before buying, especially for those comparing memory variants and waiting for promotions or stock updates.
