Oppo has confirmed that the Find X9s will launch globally alongside the Find X9 Ultra, while the Find X9s Pro appears to remain exclusive to China. The company’s teaser campaign already outlines several key details, including the phone’s design, battery capacity, and camera setup.
The global launch is currently scheduled for April 21 in select international markets. Oppo has used its official X account and the global launch page for the Find X9 Ultra to build anticipation for the new lineup.
Global launch strategy splits the lineup
The clearest sign of Oppo’s market strategy is the different treatment of the Pro model. In China, buyers are expected to get the Find X9s Pro on the same day, but global markets will reportedly receive the standard Find X9s instead.
That move suggests Oppo wants to keep the most advanced small-format model focused on its home market. For international buyers, the Find X9s will still arrive as part of the main flagship push, paired with the higher-end Find X9 Ultra.
Oppo’s teaser language also frames the Find X9s as a practical companion device. The company described it as a “perfect travel buddy,” which points to a phone built for portability, endurance, and everyday use.
What the design teasers reveal
The official images show a square rear camera module with three lenses and Hasselblad branding. An LED flash sits inside the same housing, reinforcing Oppo’s emphasis on photography even for the standard model.
Oppo has also confirmed a 50-megapixel “Ultra-Clear” camera. The company has not yet disclosed the other sensors, focal lengths, or optical zoom capabilities, so the full imaging setup remains under wraps.
On the front, the Find X9s uses a flat display with a centered punch-hole cutout. The design keeps the screen symmetrical and should suit users who prefer a cleaner look over curved panels.
The bezels look extremely thin, and Oppo says the border measures just 1.15 mm. That figure places the phone among the more aggressively trimmed displays in the premium segment.
The teaser materials also hint at an unusual button layout. The power and volume keys appear on the left side, while another button sits on the right, though Oppo has not explained its function yet.
Confirmed colors and battery capacity
Oppo has announced three global color options for the Find X9s. The phone will come in black, pink, and purple, although the official marketing names for those finishes are still unknown.
One of the most notable specifications is the battery. Oppo says the Find X9s packs a 7,025mAh battery, which is a large capacity for a premium smartphone and could give the device a strong endurance advantage.
That battery size may matter more than usual for a model positioned as a compact flagship. If Oppo pairs it with efficient hardware, the Find X9s could appeal to users who want strong battery life without moving to a larger handset.
How the Find X9s differs from the China-only Pro model
The Find X9s Pro, expected only in China, seems aimed at a more camera-focused audience. Oppo has confirmed four rear cameras on the Pro model, along with its in-house LUMO imaging solution.
The boldest claim is the presence of two 200-megapixel cameras on the Pro version. If that specification holds at launch, the Pro should sit well above the standard Find X9s in imaging ambition.
Oppo also says the Pro model uses a 6.3-inch display with even thinner bezels at 1.1 mm. Its color lineup for China includes Energetic Orange, Free White, Native Titanium, and Riding the Wind, based on translated official names.
Devices likely to appear at the event
The April 21 event may bring more than just phones. Based on the launch page, Oppo Watch X3 and Oppo Enco Clip 2 could also debut alongside the Find X9 series.
A broader product slate would fit Oppo’s current ecosystem approach. Flagship phones, wearables, and wireless audio products often work together to strengthen a brand’s premium offering in international markets.
