vivo Indonesia has officially launched the vivo Y31d Pro in Jakarta, positioning it as a new Y Series smartphone built for users with fast-moving routines and heavy daily demands. The device combines a 7,000mAh battery, 90W FlashCharge, IP68/69/69+ protection, a 50MP AI camera, and OriginOS 6 in a design that aims to balance endurance, durability, and style.
The launch targets what vivo describes as “Non-Stop” users, or people who split their day between work, mobility, creation, and entertainment. At the center of that pitch is a battery capacity that vivo says is among the largest in its segment, paired with charging tech that can restore power quickly when users only have a short break.
A 7,000mAh battery built for long days
The main selling point of the vivo Y31d Pro is its 7,000mAh Non-Stop Battery. Vivo says the phone can still be used when the battery drops to 10%, including up to 3 hours of navigation in low-power conditions.
Those numbers matter for users who depend on their phone for commuting, payments, maps, messaging, and social media throughout the day. Vivo also claims the battery is designed to remain reliable for as long as 6 years, which suggests the company is emphasizing long-term durability as much as raw capacity.
The phone also adds Super Battery Saver mode, which reduces power usage while keeping essential functions active for longer. In extreme low-battery situations, Battery Extender can still allow calls for up to 4 minutes even when the battery is below 1%.
90W FlashCharge for faster recovery
A large battery is only useful if charging is efficient, and vivo pairs the Y31d Pro’s battery with 90W FlashCharge. According to the company, the phone can charge from 1% to 100% in 58 minutes.
That charging speed makes the device more practical for people with packed schedules. Instead of waiting for hours, users can top up the phone during a short meeting, lunch break, or commute and get back to work quickly.
Vivo also includes Bypass Charging 2.0, a feature that routes power directly to the motherboard during heavy use. This can help reduce heat when gaming, streaming, or listening to music while plugged in.
Built to handle water, dust, and drops
The vivo Y31d Pro does not only focus on battery life. The phone carries IP68, IP69, and IP69+ certification, which gives it stronger resistance against water exposure and harsher conditions than many midrange phones.
Vivo says the device can survive immersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. It also claims the phone can remain functional for up to 4 hours in temperatures as low as –10 degrees Celsius, which reinforces the rugged positioning.
- IP68/69/69+ protection for water resistance
- Guardian Glass for display protection
- Military-standard durability testing
- SGS 5-Star certification
- Resistance to pressure up to 50 kg
The company says the phone can also withstand drops from up to 15 meters onto grass in testing conditions, a figure that is clearly meant to highlight robustness rather than everyday drop guarantees. Still, it shows that vivo is trying to differentiate the Y31d Pro from ordinary budget and midrange models.
Camera and AI features aimed at daily productivity
On the imaging side, vivo equips the Y31d Pro with a 50MP AI Wide Camera. The wide field of view should help users capture more subjects in one frame, whether they are shooting group photos, product images, or social content.
The phone also supports Dual View Video and Live Photo, both of which add more flexibility to casual content creation. Vivo says AI Magic Move can shift objects inside a photo while keeping the final image looking natural.
Beyond photography, the phone includes AI Captions, AI Transcript Assist, vivo DocMaster, and Block Spam Calls. Those features are intended to help with video translation, note-taking, document handling, and call security.
OriginOS 6 and a larger display
The Y31d Pro runs OriginOS 6, the same software family found on vivo’s flagship X Series. Vivo says the interface adds a smoother and more intuitive experience, including Origin Island and drag-and-drop workflows for easier multitasking.
The display is a 6.75-inch Seamless Screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,250 nits. That combination should make scrolling smoother and outdoor viewing easier in bright sunlight.
The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 685, a 6nm chipset that sits in the efficient midrange category. While it is not a flagship processor, it should be adequate for everyday multitasking, social apps, and mainstream gaming.
Design and available colors
Vivo gives the Y31d Pro a more premium look with a Metallic Camera Module, Quad Curved edges, and a Satin 3D finish. The White Satin colorway uses an optical coloring process that creates a shifting visual effect, while Black Gemstone offers a more formal appearance.
The device also includes Dynamic Light, which can act as a notification indicator and a visual accent. That detail may seem small, but it fits vivo’s effort to make the phone feel more expressive and personal.
