Asus Unveils 0.99 Kg ExpertBook Ultra, A Copilot+ Business Laptop With 50 TOPS AI Power

Asus has introduced the ExpertBook Ultra in India as a business laptop built for professionals who need portability without giving up premium hardware. The headline figure is its 0.99 kg weight, which places it among the lightest devices in the business laptop segment while also positioning it as a Copilot+ PC.

That combination matters because the model is aimed at hybrid work, mobile productivity, and AI-assisted tasks on a device that stays easy to carry. Asus is clearly targeting users who want a slim system with modern connectivity, strong security features, and a high-end display rather than a simple ultralight design.

A business laptop that stays under 1 kg

At 0.99 kg, the ExpertBook Ultra stands out immediately in a category where weight often climbs once premium components are added. Asus uses a magnesium-aluminium alloy chassis with a nano-ceramic coating, a choice that helps keep the body light while still giving it a more polished feel.

The laptop also carries MIL-STD-810H certification, which signals that it is built with durability in mind for demanding daily use. In the business segment, that combination of low weight and ruggedness is still uncommon, and Asus is using it to define the product’s identity.

OLED display with a strong focus on visual work

The ExpertBook Ultra ships with a 14-inch OLED panel, and an optional tandem OLED version is available with a resolution of up to WQXGA+ or 2880 x 1800. Asus says the display can reach HDR brightness of up to 1400 nits and covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Protection also receives attention, as the screen is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus. That makes the panel suitable not only for presentations and document-heavy workloads, but also for users who value sharper visuals and higher durability in a premium business machine.

Intel Core Ultra and up to 50 TOPS for AI tasks

Under the hood, Asus equips the laptop with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. The announced options include the Core Ultra X7 358H and the Core Ultra 5 325, both of which feature an integrated NPU for AI-driven workloads.

Asus claims the system can deliver up to 50 TOPS through Intel AI Boost. With Copilot+ PC support in place, the hardware is positioned to handle AI-related features more efficiently, which reflects where modern business laptops are heading.

Large memory, fast storage, and hybrid-work features

The memory configuration goes up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM, which gives the ExpertBook Ultra room for multitasking across several applications. Storage is equally ambitious for a business-class notebook, with PCIe 5.0 SSD options reaching up to 2TB.

The laptop runs Windows 11, with Pro and Home variants depending on configuration. Asus also includes a 1080p IR webcam that can be upgraded to 5 megapixels with AI support, along with a privacy shutter for added control during meetings.

Audio and security are part of the package as well. The device carries six speakers with Dolby Atmos support, while Asus ExpertGuardian, TPM 2.0, a fingerprint sensor, and IR-based face recognition are all included to strengthen protection.

Connectivity remains broad despite the slim build

Even with its compact profile, the ExpertBook Ultra does not cut back sharply on ports. It supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone jack.

Power comes from a 70Wh battery with 90W charging support, which should help the laptop stay practical for work on the move. Asus is offering the model in Morn Grey and Jet Fog, with pricing in India starting at Rs 2,39,990 and pre-orders already open through Flipkart.
