OnePlus is making a direct play for the crowded midrange market with two new phones that lean heavily on speed, stamina, and software polish. The Nord CE6 and Nord CE6 Lite both center their pitch on 144Hz displays, large batteries, and OxygenOS 16, a combination designed to stand out in daily use and gaming.
The more premium Nord CE6 leads the pair with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 built on a 4nm process. OnePlus says the phone can support up to 144FPS in compatible games and keep BGMI running stably for up to six hours.
Nord CE6 focuses on performance and response
Beyond the chipset, OnePlus adds a Touch Reflex Chip with an instant touch sampling rate of 3200Hz. The phone also includes a 6-axis gyroscope for motion control and an X-axis linear motor for more precise haptics.
The display is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. High Brightness Mode reaches 1800 nits, while 3840Hz PWM dimming is used to reduce flicker during extended use.
Cooling, audio, and battery are built for heavy use
OnePlus pairs the screen with stereo speakers and 300% Ultra Volume support. To control thermals, the Nord CE6 uses a VC cooling system with a 5,000mm² vapor chamber and a total cooling area listed at 33,147mm².
Battery life is one of the strongest talking points here. The Nord CE6 carries an 8000mAh battery, which OnePlus says can last more than 2.5 days under typical use on a single charge.
Charging support includes 80W SUPERVOOC and bypass charging. The phone also supports 27W wired reverse charging, and OnePlus says a 10-minute reverse charge can provide up to 12 hours of Spotify playback on compatible Nord Buds Pro 4 earbuds.
Cameras and durability round out the higher model
At the rear, the Nord CE6 uses a 50MP main camera with two-axis optical image stabilization. The front camera is 32MP and also supports autofocus and 4K recording.
The phone’s AI features include AI Portrait Glow, AI Perfect Shot, AI Eraser, and AI Unblur. OnePlus also says OxygenOS 16 on this device is optimized to stay smooth for up to six years.
Durability is another area where the Nord CE6 pushes hard. The device carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, along with MIL-STD-810H durability certification and Crystal Guard Glass on the display.
Nord CE6 Lite returns the CE Lite name with a different formula
The Nord CE6 Lite marks the return of the CE Lite line after a two-year gap. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex, also built on 4nm, and OnePlus says the phone gets improvements in performance, battery life, cooling, and software optimization over the previous generation.
OnePlus claims the chipset scores above 1,030,000 on AnTuTu. The company also says overall performance is up by 43% and graphics performance is up by 155% compared with the predecessor.
Gaming support remains a clear selling point on the Lite model. OnePlus says it can reach 144FPS in Subway Surfers and up to 90FPS in BGMI, Free Fire Max, and Call of Duty: Mobile.
Large battery and software features define the Lite model too
The Nord CE6 Lite uses a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate. High Brightness Mode goes up to 1000 nits, touch sampling reaches 240Hz, and the screen is designed to respond even when fingers are wet or oily.
The phone runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. OnePlus says the software is tuned to improve camera response, app opening times, and startup speed, while staying smooth for up to 60 months.
Google Gemini integration is also part of the package, including support for reading, writing, and planning tasks. Gemini Live adds real-time contextual help through the camera and on-screen content.
The camera setup on the Lite model includes a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front camera. Video recording goes up to 4K at 30FPS, and Dual-View Video is supported as well.
Its AI editing tools include AI Reflection Eraser, AI Reframe, and AI Detail Boost. Power comes from a 7000mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC and bypass charging, and OnePlus claims it can deliver up to 81.7 hours of music playback, 26.2 hours of YouTube streaming, 11.7 hours of video calling, 10.6 hours of battle royale gaming, and 9.1 hours of 4K video recording.
Pricing and availability
The Nord CE6 comes in Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl, and Pitch Black. Pricing is set at ₹29,999 for the 8GB + 128GB version and ₹32,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version.
The Nord CE6 Lite is sold in 6GB + 128GB for ₹20,999, 8GB + 128GB for ₹22,999, and 8GB + 256GB for ₹25,999. OnePlus says both models will be offered through its chosen online and retail channels in India.
