The sharpest contrast in the iPhone 16 lineup is now centered on the 512 GB model. A new unit is priced at Rp 20.999.000, while second-hand listings start in the Rp 15,5 jutaan range, leaving a gap of more than Rp 5 million.

That difference has placed the iPhone 16 512 GB back into focus for buyers who want large storage without paying full retail. For many shoppers, the price spread is significant because the 512 GB variant is aimed at users who need ample room for photos, videos, and apps.

New retail prices continue to move unevenly

The price increase in the iPhone 16 512 GB does not stand alone. Other models in the iPhone 16 series have shifted in different directions, creating a lineup with widely varying price points across the range.

Apple now lists the regular iPhone 16 at Rp 14.999.000 for 128 GB, Rp 16.999.000 for 256 GB, and Rp 20.999.000 for 512 GB. The iPhone 16 128 GB itself has increased by Rp 300.000 and now sits at Rp 14.999.000.

At the more affordable end, the iPhone 16e 128 GB is priced at Rp 10.749.000. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Plus starts at Rp 16.999.000 for 128 GB, rises to Rp 19.249.000 for 256 GB, and reaches Rp 22.999.000 for 512 GB.

The Pro models sit higher in the range. The iPhone 16 Pro 512 GB is priced at Rp 24.499.000, while the 1 TB version is set at Rp 27.999.000.

The second-hand market offers a much wider entry point

Used units remain far below new retail prices in most configurations. The iPhone 16 128 GB in the second-hand market is generally offered from Rp 12,5 jutaan, while the 256 GB version is around Rp 14,5 jutaan.

The iPhone 16 512 GB second-hand listing starts at about Rp 15,5 jutaan, which is why the gap with the new unit has become so pronounced. That pricing makes the used market an attractive alternative for buyers who want higher storage but want to avoid crossing the Rp 20 million mark.

The same pattern appears in the iPhone 16e and iPhone 16 Plus lines. Used iPhone 16e 128 GB units are around Rp 9 jutaan, while 256 GB units are near Rp 10 jutaan, keeping it as the lowest-cost entry into the iPhone 16 family.

For the iPhone 16 Plus, second-hand prices begin at Rp 13,5 jutaan for 128 GB. The 256 GB version is around Rp 15,5 jutaan, and the 512 GB version is near Rp 16,5 jutaan.

The biggest gap appears on the 512 GB model

Among all the current figures, the iPhone 16 512 GB shows the clearest divide between new and used. A new unit is priced at Rp 20.999.000, while a second-hand unit starts at about Rp 15,5 jutaan, creating a difference of more than Rp 5 million.

That level of separation is also visible in other parts of the lineup. Used iPhone 16 Pro units start at Rp 15,5 jutaan for 128 GB, then move to around Rp 17 jutaan for 256 GB, Rp 18 jutaan for 512 GB, and about Rp 20 jutaan for 1 TB.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max also stays competitive in the used market. Its 256 GB version starts at Rp 17,5 jutaan, the 512 GB model is around Rp 19 jutaan, and the 1 TB version is near Rp 21 jutaan.

These second-hand prices are described as average figures from several marketplaces. The difference between sellers is still around Rp 200.000 for units in good condition with official purchase history.

Buyers now have to weigh storage, condition, and price

The latest retail increase has made the second-hand market look more attractive again, especially for buyers who prioritize large storage. In practice, the iPhone 16 512 GB used market now competes directly with options such as the iPhone 16 Pro 128 GB second-hand unit, which also starts at Rp 15,5 jutaan.

That means the decision is no longer only about choosing the newest model. Physical condition, official purchase history, storage capacity, and the price gap all matter when comparing available units.

Used prices can still shift depending on supply and demand in the marketplace. For that reason, buyers need to monitor listings regularly if they want to find a unit that matches both condition and budget.
