Vivo Y60 arrives as a new entry-level option that tries to stand out by focusing on endurance rather than basic affordability alone. The phone pairs a 6,500mAh battery with 5G support and a 120Hz display, which gives it a more serious positioning in the budget segment.
Vivo is also adding durability-focused touches that are uncommon in this class. The device carries IP65 certification and a five-star SGS rating, signaling that it is meant to handle daily use with a stronger emphasis on resilience.
Large display with a smooth refresh rate
The Vivo Y60 uses a 6.74-inch LCD panel with HD+ 1600 x 720 resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, which should make social media scrolling and light gaming feel smoother.
Vivo also says the screen can reach up to 1,200 nits of brightness in certain modes. That should help visibility when the phone is used outdoors.
4nm chipset for everyday tasks
Performance comes from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, built on a 4nm process. Vivo pairs the chip with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
This setup is aimed at everyday use such as multitasking, streaming video, and 5G-based apps. It positions the phone as a device that balances power efficiency with modern connectivity.
Battery life is the main selling point
The biggest highlight is the 6,500mAh battery. Vivo says the capacity is enough to support a full day of multimedia and communication use.
Charging is handled by 15W wired support, and the phone also offers reverse charging. Vivo further claims the battery is designed to maintain health for up to five years of normal use.
Cameras and practical extras
For photos, the phone includes a 13MP main camera with autofocus and LED flash. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera placed inside a waterdrop-style notch.
The camera setup is not aimed at premium photography, but it remains suitable for video calls and routine documentation. Vivo also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an infrared remote control feature for household devices.
Connectivity, variants, and colors
The Vivo Y60 supports dual SIM 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The presence of the headphone jack may still matter for users who prefer wired headsets.
In China, the phone is offered in three memory configurations. The 6GB/128GB version costs 1,799 yuan, the 6GB/256GB model is priced at 1,999 yuan, and the 8GB/256GB variant is listed at 2,299 yuan.
The available color options are Shanhaiqing Blue, Lucky Purple, and Obsidian Black. Vivo has not announced global availability or an Indonesia launch schedule, so China remains the main market for this durability-focused entry-level model.
