OPPO is preparing to make a fast return to India’s flagship scene with two Find X9 models set to arrive on 21 May. The lineup is led by the Find X9 Ultra, a device built to stand out through a large battery, Hasselblad-tuned cameras, and a top-tier chipset.
The launch also extends the Find X9 family into India after both phones were introduced in China and global markets last month. OPPO is clearly aiming to strengthen its position in the premium segment with a split strategy: the Ultra at the top, and the Find X9s just below it.
A two-tier flagship push for India
Both phones will be sold through Flipkart, Amazon, and OPPO’s official online store in India. They will ship with Android 16 based on ColorOS 16 right out of the box.
The timing is notable because the India debut comes almost a month after the global launch on 21 April. That pace suggests OPPO wants to move quickly in a market where flagship competition is intense.
Find X9 Ultra focuses on battery and imaging
The Find X9 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. That places it among OPPO’s most performance-focused phones in the lineup.
Its biggest headline feature is the 7,050mAh battery. For a premium flagship, that is a very large capacity and one of the most distinctive parts of the phone’s appeal.
OPPO is also leaning heavily on photography. The Find X9 Ultra carries a quad rear camera setup tuned with Hasselblad, including a 200MP main camera, a 200MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP periscope camera with 10x optical zoom.
OPPO has also teased a black color option for the Indian market. That early detail gives a small hint at how the phone may be positioned visually for local buyers.
Find X9s still targets the premium crowd
The Find X9s sits below the Ultra, but it is not a toned-down mid-range model. OPPO has confirmed the use of the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, along with a 7,025mAh battery.
For India, the Find X9s will be offered in three colors: Lavender Sky, Midnight Grey, and Sunset Orange. It also uses a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50MP main camera.
That combination suggests OPPO is keeping the Find X9s firmly in flagship territory while leaving room for a lower entry point than the Ultra. It appears designed for buyers who want a premium device without moving to the absolute top of the range.
Pricing hints before the India reveal
OPPO has not announced India pricing yet, but the global launch gives a rough idea of where the phones sit. The Find X9 Ultra debuted globally at CNY 7,499, which is roughly Rs 1,03,000.
The Find X9s launched globally at MYR 3,599, or around Rs 85,000 as a broad reference. Those figures are only starting points, but they help frame the two phones’ expected positioning.
On the competition side, the Find X9s is expected to go up against the Vivo X300 FE, which recently arrived in India. The Find X9 Ultra, meanwhile, is likely to be compared with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and Vivo X300 Ultra, especially in performance and camera performance.
With the India launch date already locked in, OPPO now only needs to bring the two phones to market. The combination of a 7,050mAh battery, 200MP imaging hardware, and Hasselblad branding makes the Find X9 Ultra the more attention-grabbing model, while the Find X9s adds a second premium option for buyers watching the flagship segment closely.
