POCO C85 Stands Out With Faster Charging, Better Cameras, And Stronger Daily Performance

When two budget phones share the same large display and battery capacity, the real difference often shows up in everyday use. That is the case with POCO C81 Pro and POCO C85, two entry-level models that look similar on paper but are aimed at different kinds of buyers.

The two devices both target users who want a low-cost phone with a big screen and complete basic features. Yet POCO C85 adds clearer advantages in performance, camera quality, charging speed, and durability, while POCO C81 Pro stays focused on being the cheapest option in the lineup.

Shared essentials stay familiar

Both phones use a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. That combination should make social media scrolling, video playback, and light gaming feel smoother than expected in this class.

POCO also equips both models with NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack, dual 4G SIM support, USB Type-C, Bluetooth, WiFi, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. For basic daily needs, both devices already cover the important functions without many compromises.

Performance is where the gap starts to appear

The clearest difference comes from the chipset. POCO C85 uses the MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra, while POCO C81 Pro relies on the Unisoc T7250.

That makes POCO C85 the stronger option for users who want a quicker and more responsive feel in everyday use. POCO C81 Pro is still suitable for standard activities such as chatting, browsing, and social media, but POCO C85 is the more convincing choice for those who want a bit more power in the same segment.

Camera hardware also separates the two

The rear camera setup shows another noticeable divide. POCO C85 carries a 50 MP main camera, while POCO C81 Pro uses a 13 MP main camera.

Both phones still come with an 8 MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Even so, POCO C85 stands out as the more promising option for better rear-camera results in day-to-day use.

Battery capacity is the same, but charging is not

Each model packs a 6,000mAh battery, but the user experience around it is different. POCO C81 Pro is said to last more than two days under normal use, while POCO C85 is positioned more toward multimedia consumption such as reading content and listening to music.

Charging speed is another major distinction. POCO C85 supports 33W Fast Charging and is claimed to go from 1% to 50% in about 31 minutes, while POCO C81 Pro still uses 15W charging. For users who depend on their phone from morning to night, that difference can matter a lot.

Durability and pricing complete the picture

POCO C85 also has an IP64 rating, which gives it better resistance to dust and water splashes. That extra protection adds value for buyers looking for an affordable phone with a more reassuring body design.

Pricing shows how POCO has separated the two models. POCO C81 Pro is the cheaper choice, with the 4 GB + 64 GB version priced at Rp1.649.000 and the 4 GB + 128 GB version at Rp1.699.000.

POCO C85 sits higher in the range, with the 6 GB + 128 GB variant priced at Rp2.049.000 and the 8 GB + 256 GB version at Rp2.249.000. The higher price aligns with the better performance, larger camera sensor, faster charging, and added protection it brings to the table.

For buyers who only need the lowest possible price, POCO C81 Pro remains the more economical route. For users who want a more comfortable everyday experience, POCO C85 offers the stronger overall package without leaving the same entry-level category.
