Tecno Pova 8 Pro is starting to look like another strong entry in the brand’s midrange gaming line, with certification filings pointing to a phone built around endurance and generous memory. The latest documents from TUV Rheinland and FCC suggest that Tecno is preparing a device that keeps the Pova identity intact while pushing capacity and storage further.
The most attention-grabbing detail is still the battery. Certification data lists a measured capacity of 6,340 mAh, which is expected to be marketed as 6,500 mAh, placing the phone among models designed for long daily use and extended gaming sessions.
Large battery, slim body
That battery figure matters because the Pova series has long relied on stamina as one of its key selling points. A 6,500 mAh-rated battery would fit users who spend a lot of time on mobile games, video streaming, or heavy multitasking.
At the same time, the device does not appear bulky on paper. FCC documents show dimensions of 162 x 77 x 8 mm, indicating a relatively slim body for a phone carrying such a large battery.
Memory setup aimed at heavy users
Storage also stands out. FCC filings reveal a Tecno Pova 8 Pro variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, a combination that should appeal to users who keep large game libraries, media files, and demanding apps on their phones.
For the midrange segment, that configuration looks aggressive on paper. It also suggests Tecno is trying to keep the device competitive by pairing strong memory figures with the same battery-first formula that defines the series.
It is not yet clear whether 12GB and 512GB will be the only option. Tecno may still prepare additional variants to cover a wider range of buyers.
Connectivity points to a modern package
Beyond capacity and memory, the certifications also point to a well-rounded connectivity package. The Pova 8 Pro is listed with 5G, NFC, Bluetooth, and dual-band Wi-Fi support.
Those features make the device feel ready for fast data use, wireless accessories, and digital payments. They also show that Tecno is not focusing only on endurance, but on a balance between power efficiency, connectivity, and practical daily use.
A likely successor to Pova 7 Pro
The Pova 8 Pro is expected to follow the Pova 7 Pro, which launched last year. Based on the details that have surfaced so far, the new model appears to stay close to the same formula: a midrange phone tuned for gaming and long battery life.
Still missing are the chipset, display specifications, camera details, and official launch timing. Even so, the appearance of the device in multiple global certifications suggests that its introduction may not be far away.
