Aneesah Morrow and Natasha Mack are both listed as doubtful for Friday night’s matchup between the Connecticut Sun and Phoenix Mercury. Their potential absences would remove two frontcourt options as each team tries to halt a difficult stretch.
Connecticut could receive a boost with Saniya Rivers listed as probable after missing two games with a left ankle sprain. Phoenix also has Kyara Linskens listed as probable, while Sami Whitcomb remains questionable because of left knee injury management.
Friday Injury Status
The injury report cited by sports.yahoo.com includes two Sun players and three Mercury players. Morrow and Mack are not expected to play if their doubtful designations hold.
| Team | Player | Status | Injury/Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Connecticut Sun | Aneesah Morrow | Doubtful | Reconditioning |
| Connecticut Sun | Saniya Rivers | Probable | Left ankle sprain |
| Phoenix Mercury | Natasha Mack | Doubtful | Left foot injury |

Morrow is expected to miss her fifth consecutive game if she is ruled out before tipoff. Mack would be sidelined for an eighth straight contest if she cannot play.
Rivers is in line to return after a two-game absence, giving Connecticut a possible backcourt reinforcement. Linskens is expected to play through her right knee injury, while Whitcomb’s availability remains uncertain.
