Kyle Richards has opened up about her dating life, offering a rare glimpse after her recent candid remarks about her sexuality at BravoCon. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star told “Live with Kelly and Mark” that she avoids dating apps, emphasizing, “That’s not my style.”
Richards joked that potential partners would need to “come knock on my door,” admitting she’s not actively going out to meet people. She explained that she has been busy with work and preparing for her daughter Alexia’s wedding, which took place in September.
The reality star shared her biggest fear following her separation from estranged husband Mauricio Umansky was “being by myself.” For a long time, Richards’ identity was closely tied to being “a wife and a mom.” However, she revealed she is now “actually pretty good at” being single.
Richards and Umansky separated in the summer but have not yet filed for divorce. Meanwhile, Umansky has been linked romantically to several women, most recently seen showing affection for “FBoy Island” star Celisa “CJ” Franco.
Amidst swirl of dating rumors, Richards sparked speculation about her sexuality in a Season 15 “RHOBH” trailer at BravoCon by saying, “I could go Brad [Pitt], I could go Angelina [Jolie].” She later clarified to Variety that she doesn’t like labels and made the comment to make her co-stars laugh.
She stated, “I am growing and evolving, and my mind has opened up.” When asked if she could see herself as a lesbian, she responded, “That would never have crossed my mind before, ever in my life — and now I’m like, that’s totally an option.”
Richards emphasized she prefers to let life unfold naturally without being set up, saying, “Whatever happens, happens, and I’m good with that.” She enjoys her own company and is embracing this new phase of life after decades as a wife.
Her relationship with Umansky began with marriage in 1996, after she ended her first marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie. The reality star described her “type” as “tall, dark and handsome,” underscoring the complex emotions involved in navigating love post-separation.
