The Portland Trail Blazers secured a commanding 131-111 victory over the struggling Indiana Pacers on Sunday night. Scoot Henderson led the charge for Portland with a season-high 28 points, converting 10-of-15 shots while contributing six assists and committing no turnovers.
Jerami Grant and Jrue Holiday each added 21 points to bolster the Blazers’ offense. The win extended Indiana’s losing streak to nine games, marking their third stretch of at least eight consecutive losses this season. The Pacers now face mounting pressure amid ongoing performance issues.
Deni Avdija made his return for Indiana after a six-game absence due to a lower back injury. The team’s leading scorer and playmaker recorded 18 points and eight assists but could not reverse the Pacers’ slide. Pascal Siakam led Indiana with 22 points, while Jay Huff added 16 points and five blocks, continuing his impressive defensive presence.
Huff now ranks first in the NBA for games with at least two blocks, tallying 39 such games this season—two more than San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama, who leads the league in total blocks. Meanwhile, Robert Williams III’s streak of 18 consecutive games with a block was snapped during the contest.
The Trail Blazers dominated the final 5½ minutes of the second quarter with a 25-7 run. During this stretch, Henderson was directly involved in 15 points through scoring or assists, and the Pacers managed just 2-of-11 shooting with three turnovers. Portland entered halftime ahead by 17 points at 69-52.
Before the break, Henderson had already notched 19 points and five assists on 7-for-9 shooting, including 2-of-4 from beyond the arc. Grant contributed 14 points, Holiday scored 11, and Avdija added 10 points for Portland.
Indiana will conclude their four-game road trip with a game against Sacramento on Tuesday. The Trail Blazers will host the Charlotte Hornets on the same day, aiming to build on their momentum from this decisive win.
