A new Redmi smartwatch is entering the Indonesian market with a clear pitch: deliver a large display, serious fitness tracking, and long battery life in a body that still looks refined. Xiaomi is positioning REDMI Watch 6 for young users who want a device that can handle everyday workouts and notifications without sacrificing style.
That positioning matters because the wearable market is getting more crowded, and Xiaomi Indonesia is using this launch to strengthen its smart device ecosystem. REDMI Watch 6 is not framed only as an activity tracker, but also as an accessory that fits daily use in the city, at the gym, and during outdoor sessions.
Large display, slim body
The most immediate selling point is its 2.07-inch AMOLED screen with an ultra-thin 2 mm bezel. Xiaomi also equips it with a 60Hz refresh rate and brightness of up to 2,000 nits, which should keep the display readable when checking notifications, health data, or training information outside.
The watch itself stays slim at 9.9 mm and uses an aluminum alloy frame. It comes in three color options: Silver Gray, Obsidian Black, and Glacier Blue, reinforcing the idea that this model is meant to work as both a gadget and a fashion item.
Built for training and outdoor use
REDMI Watch 6 includes more than 150 sports modes, giving it broad coverage for different kinds of workouts. Xiaomi also adds dual L1 antenna support and a GNSS chip to improve location tracking during outdoor exercise.
Water resistance reaches 5 ATM, which means the watch is safe for swimming at depths of up to 50 meters. That makes it suitable not only for land-based training, but also for water activities.
On the health side, Xiaomi includes all-day heart rate monitoring, all-day blood oxygen monitoring, and continuous sleep tracking. The company also uses a new PPG sensor that is claimed to improve heart rate accuracy during exercise, along with recovery and workout intensity monitoring to help users keep training under control.
Battery and controls for daily convenience
Battery life is another key part of the package. Xiaomi says REDMI Watch 6 can last up to 24 days under normal use, which should appeal to users who spend much of their time outdoors or follow a regular running routine.
The watch also adds a new physical button for easier navigation. One press opens the control center, a long press brings up the restart menu, and three presses can be used to contact an emergency number.
Price and availability
REDMI Watch 6 is being offered at a promotional price of Rp1.499.000 from 25 May to 30 June 2026. A special price of Rp1.399.000 is also available when purchased together with the Xiaomi 17 Series at selected official partners.
For online buyers, the smartwatch is available through Xiaomi Indonesia, Shopee, Tokopedia, TikTok Shop, Blibli, and Lazada. Offline sales are also open at Xiaomi Store, Erafone, Digiplus, Urban Republic, and Blibli Store.
With its large AMOLED panel, extensive sports tracking, and long battery claim, REDMI Watch 6 enters the market as an option aimed at users who want a smartwatch that balances appearance, health features, and everyday practicality.
