The 150cc premium scooter segment in Southeast Asia has just gained a new rival, and it enters with a clear mission to disrupt the established order. The Zontes 150X 2026 has been introduced in Thailand with a package that combines an urban adventure design, premium equipment, and a price positioned to attract attention.

That combination puts familiar names such as Honda PCX and Yamaha NMAX under a brighter spotlight. Zontes is not simply adding another model to the market, but offering a scooter that tries to stand out through technology, lighter construction, and a very different character.

A bigger, sharper urban adventure look

Zontes gives the 150X a strong visual identity through its Urban Adventure concept. The bodywork looks sharp and the overall proportions feel large, which helps the scooter appear solid and modern.

The front end is the most distinctive part of the design. A cross-shaped LED headlight is paired with four high-tech projectors, creating a premium impression while also supporting night riding visibility.

Lightweight frame as a key advantage

One of the strongest claims from Zontes is found in the chassis. The 150X uses a one-piece aluminum alloy frame instead of the conventional steel frame commonly seen in this class.

Zontes says the frame itself weighs around 8.5 kilograms. That helps keep the scooter’s total weight down to 108 kilograms, which is notably light for a large-bodied 150cc scooter.

Features usually associated with larger machines

The equipment list is where the Zontes 150X becomes even more eye-catching. An electric windscreen can be adjusted through a switch on the handlebar, a feature more often linked to higher-capacity touring motorcycles.

The scooter also uses a 5-inch TFT instrument panel. The full-color display supports connectivity with Zontes’ smart application, giving riders easier access to vehicle information.

Another notable feature is Mirror Screen technology. It allows selected phone information to appear on the motorcycle display without requiring extra accessories.

Keyless system, protection, and daily convenience

Zontes equips the 150X with a latest-generation keyless system as standard. The setup carries an IP67 certification, which means it is said to offer stronger resistance to dust and water.

There is also a practical backup if the remote battery runs out. Zontes says the scooter can still be started through an emergency sensor in a specific compartment, adding convenience for everyday use.

Safety and touring-focused equipment

The braking package includes front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. This setup is intended to improve braking control across different road conditions.

Traction Control System, or TCS, is also fitted to help maintain grip when the road surface becomes slippery. TPMS is included as well, so riders can monitor tire pressure in real time.

Touring practicality is another major selling point. The underseat storage is claimed to fit two helmets, while the fuel tank holds 11 liters.

With that tank size, Zontes says the scooter can cover nearly 500 kilometers on a full fill. That makes the 150X relevant not only for city commuting, but also for longer trips.

Engine output and market positioning

Power comes from a 149.5 cc SOHC, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine. Output is listed at 17.7 HP with 15.5 Nm of torque.

Zontes also mentions a forged piston and a ceramic-coated cylinder without a liner. Those details reinforce the impression that the scooter is engineered with a serious performance focus.

In Thailand, the Zontes 150X 2026 starts at 74,800 Baht. With its lightweight frame, long list of features, and premium positioning, it enters the 150cc scooter fight as a model that deserves close attention.
