World Cup 2026 Access From Your Phone, MAXStream TV Plans Start at Rp25,000

A major shift is coming to how audiences follow the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as Telkomsel and TVRI are pushing MAXStream TV as a more accessible way to watch the tournament. The service is designed to bring matches closer to viewers through mobile devices and TV channels, so coverage is no longer tied to a single screen or a fixed viewing point.

The move is positioned as a way to broaden access from major cities to more remote areas. Telkomsel and TVRI are also using the collaboration to strengthen national reach while keeping the viewing experience flexible for different audience needs.

More than just live matches

MAXStream TV is not limited to broadcasting games. The service also provides highlights and premium content, with access to as many as 104 matches during the tournament.

Telkomsel says the platform is supported by reliable network infrastructure, 5G technology, and ongoing development to help keep the broadcast stable. The approach is meant to make viewing more consistent for users who want to follow the tournament more closely.

Lower-cost access through special packages

Telkomsel has also prepared special World Cup data packages at a lower entry price. The Bola Gembira MAXStream TV 7-day package is priced at Rp25.000 with 300MB of data, while the 60-day package costs Rp85.000 with 5.5 GB.

These packages are available through the MyTelkomsel app and can be used to watch matches on MAXStream TV. The prices already include tax and are open to all customers, giving users a choice based on how long they want access for match viewing.

Free access for selected users

As part of the broader effort, Telkomsel and TVRI are also providing 100,000 free Bola Gembira MAXStream TV access packages for people who need them. The program is intended to help more customers enjoy the 2026 FIFA World Cup without barriers.

Telkomsel’s Director of Marketing, Lionel Chng, emphasized that the tournament is about more than action on the pitch. He highlighted it as a moment for family, friends, and shared emotions while watching together.

Building a more interactive viewing experience

Beyond the main broadcast, Telkomsel is adding engagement activities to support the tournament experience. These include watch parties in several cities and gamification programs with prizes, including a chance to travel to the United States.

The company is also preparing highlights and interactive content to make the viewing experience more engaging. VP Digital Lifestyle Telkomsel, Kemas M Fadhli, said the service is meant to make content available anywhere and anytime, with matches accessible from the palm of the hand.

The collaboration with TVRI is also part of a wider push to support Indonesia’s digital ecosystem. Telkomsel says its service commitment remains focused on helping people enjoy important moments comfortably wherever they are.
