Xiaomi Redmi G24Q Lands With 2K 180Hz, An Affordable Monitor That Punches Above Its Class

Xiaomi has expanded its display lineup with the launch of the Redmi G24Q, a gaming monitor that aims to deliver high-end features at an affordable price. The new model is positioned for users who want a sharper screen, fast motion handling, and useful gaming tools without moving into a much more expensive category.

The monitor is now available in China at 749 yuan, or around 110 US dollars, through popular e-commerce platforms such as JD.com. That pricing places the Redmi G24Q in an entry-level bracket, but Xiaomi has packed it with specifications that are usually associated with more premium monitors.

Sharp 2K visuals in a compact 24-inch size

The Redmi G24Q uses a 24-inch Fast IPS panel with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, which is commonly referred to as 2K. This gives it a clear advantage over Full HD displays, especially for users who want more detail in games, creative work, or everyday multitasking.

Its IPS panel also offers a 178-degree viewing angle, which helps keep colors and contrast more consistent when the screen is viewed from the side. Xiaomi also gives the monitor a three-sided narrow bezel design, making it more suitable for multi-monitor setups and cleaner-looking desktop arrangements.

Built for smoother gaming performance

One of the main selling points of the Redmi G24Q is its 180Hz refresh rate. That high refresh rate is designed to make motion look smoother, which can be especially valuable in fast-paced games where responsiveness matters.

The monitor also has a 1ms GTG response time, which helps reduce blur and ghosting during rapid movement. Xiaomi further supports the gaming experience with AMD FreeSync, a feature that synchronizes the monitor’s refresh rate with the GPU’s frame rate to reduce screen tearing and stuttering.

Extra tools for competitive play

Xiaomi adds several gaming-focused features that go beyond basic display performance. The Redmi G24Q includes a custom crosshair overlay, which can help players aim more precisely in FPS titles.

It also comes with a dark scene enhancement mode that brightens shadowed areas without washing out the brighter parts of the image. A night vision mode is available as well, giving users better visibility in low-light gaming conditions.

Another feature called Dynamic OD tuning automatically adjusts overdrive settings to improve clarity during fast movement. This helps the monitor balance speed and image quality more effectively in dynamic scenes.

Color accuracy and eye comfort matter too

The Redmi G24Q is not only aimed at gamers. Xiaomi says the monitor covers 94 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 100 percent of sRGB, which makes it more relevant for users who need reliable color reproduction for creative tasks.

It also supports VESA DisplayHDR 400 and reaches a peak brightness of 400 nits. The panel uses 8-bit + FRC technology for smoother color transitions, while its Delta E is listed at less than 2, indicating high color accuracy.

For eye protection, Xiaomi includes TÜV Rheinland-certified low blue light support along with its QingShan eye protection system. The monitor also uses DC dimming to reduce flicker, which can help lower eye fatigue during long sessions.

Connectivity and ergonomic flexibility

In terms of ports, the Redmi G24Q provides two HDMI 2.0 ports and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports. That setup gives users flexibility when connecting PCs, consoles, or other devices.

The stand also supports height, tilt, and rotation adjustments, allowing the monitor to be positioned more comfortably. For users who prefer wall mounting, it is compatible with a 75 x 75 mm VESA mount.

Xiaomi’s latest Redmi monitor shows a clear effort to offer a strong mix of gaming performance, color quality, and practical comfort at a price that stays within reach. With a 2K Fast IPS panel, 180Hz refresh rate, FreeSync support, and eye-care features, the Redmi G24Q stands out as a well-rounded option in the affordable gaming monitor segment.
