DJI Avinox Power Meets Cargo Duty, Amflow TL Carbon Pushes E-Bike Limits

Amflow has taken a different route with the TL Carbon, turning a full-suspension eMTB into a machine that is not limited to trail riding. The model is positioned as a versatile e-bike for mountain biking, cargo hauling, long-distance touring, and daily commuting.

At the center of that approach is the DJI Avinox M2 mid-drive motor, which delivers 125 Nm of torque and up to 1,100 W of peak output. The setup is paired with an 800 Wh removable battery, while an optional 480 Wh battery extender is available for riders who want more range.

Electronic shifting arrives for the first time on an Amflow bike

The TL Carbon is also notable for becoming the first Amflow e-bike to use the Avinox SmoothShift electronic shifting system. Developed with TRP, the system is designed to automatically reduce motor torque during gear changes, which should make shifting smoother while also reducing drivetrain wear.

That hardware is wrapped in a carbon fiber frame that weighs 2.9 kg, helping Amflow keep the total bike weight at around 22.6 kg even with integrated lights, fenders, and a rear rack. The result is a build that aims to bridge performance and practicality without turning the bike into a heavy utility platform.

FOX suspension and flexible wheel choices

For the suspension setup, Amflow worked with FOX on a package that includes 120 mm of front travel and 105 mm at the rear. The configuration is meant to support the bike’s dual personality, giving it enough capability for off-road use while still preserving everyday usability.

Wheel compatibility is also broad, with options including 27.5-inch, 29-inch, mullet, and reverse mullet setups. That flexibility allows riders to tailor the bike’s handling to different terrain and personal preferences.

High payload capacity and connected features

Amflow says the TL Carbon can carry a maximum payload of up to 200 kg. Within that limit, the rear rack supports up to 27 kg, while an optional front rack can carry as much as 20 kg.

The bike also connects to the Avinox Ride companion app, which adds functions such as heart-rate-based assist control, Apple Find My support, offline navigation, and connectivity with DJI Osmo Action cameras. Those features reinforce the TL Carbon’s push toward a more connected and more versatile riding experience.

Global launch planned, pricing still missing

Amflow has not announced pricing for the TL Carbon yet. The company only says the e-bike will roll out globally by the end of the year, without giving a more specific schedule.

With its powerful DJI Avinox motor, large battery, optional range extender, and unusually high carrying capacity, the TL Carbon stands out as one of Amflow’s most practical e-bikes so far. More information is available through Amflow’s official website.
