realme has added a new option to its P4 series with the launch of the realme P4x 4G, a budget phone that stands out first and foremost for its 8000 mAh battery. In a segment where many buyers still compare 4G models against newer 5G alternatives, this device is positioned as a practical choice for users who value endurance over network speed.
The battery is the headline feature, but it is not the only part of the phone designed to look aggressive for its class. realme says the large cell can support more than 10 hours of gaming after a full charge, while the handset also supports 45 W fast charging through USB Type-C.
Built for longer use, not just bigger numbers
Alongside the charging system, realme claims the battery is designed to last up to 7 years and remain safe to use in temperatures ranging from -20 to 53 degrees Celsius. The phone also supports reverse wired charging, allowing it to top up other devices through a cable when needed.
That combination makes the realme P4x 4G more flexible for daily use than a typical entry-level model. It is clearly aimed at users who want a phone that can last through long sessions without making battery anxiety part of the routine.
Durability is part of the pitch
realme has also given the P4x 4G a more rugged identity through its ArmorShell structure with military-grade positioning. The company says the phone is designed to survive drops from up to 2 meters onto hard surfaces, which gives it a stronger durability story than many low-cost rivals.
Protection is further reinforced by an IP64 rating. That means the device is dust-resistant and protected against splashes, making it more suitable for users who often move between indoor and outdoor environments.
Entry-level hardware with a few notable extras
Under the hood, the realme P4x 4G uses the UNISOC T7250 processor built on a 12 nm process. The chipset pairs two Cortex-A75 cores at 1.8 GHz with six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.6 GHz, and it is matched with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
Storage options include 64 GB and 256 GB, both using eMMC 5.1. For a device in this category, the configuration keeps the focus on basic everyday use rather than pushing performance beyond its price segment.
Display, camera, and lighting effects
The front of the phone carries a 6.8-inch LCD panel with a 720 x 1570 pixel resolution. It supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 900 nits, giving the screen specifications that are unusually ambitious for a low-cost 4G phone.
A teardrop notch at the top houses a 5 MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 77-degree field of view. On the back, the main camera uses a 50 MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 76-degree field of view.
realme has also added a rear Pulse Light ring that can light up during gaming, music playback, charging, and incoming message notifications. The feature offers nine color choices and five blinking speed levels, giving the phone a bit of visual character beyond its core hardware.
Practical details and pricing
The rest of the package includes stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Android 16. The phone comes in rally white and phantom blue, with the rally white version featuring red and green vertical stripes on the back panel.
In Malaysia, the realme P4x 4G is priced at 799 ringgit, or around Rp3,4 juta, for the 4/256 GB variant. At that level, the device is shaping up as a value-focused 4G phone that leans hard on battery life, durability, and a 120 Hz display.
