HUAWEI has expanded its flagship lineup with four new devices aimed at premium users who care most about display quality, camera systems, and fast charging. Among them, the most expensive is the HUAWEI Pura X Max, which starts at 10,999 yuan, while the most affordable entry in the new lineup is the HUAWEI Pura 90 at 4,699 yuan.
The four models were introduced on 20 April 2026, and the listed prices on HUAWEI’s website show a clear spread across different premium segments. Availability is still limited to the China market at the initial stage, so the new lineup is being positioned first for local buyers before any wider rollout is considered.
A distinctive starting point in the lineup
The most accessible model in the group, the Pura 90, still carries a design identity that separates it from the others. Its rear camera island uses a triangular shape, while the front panel adopts a pill-shaped camera cutout, and both areas include Red Maple sensors to improve color accuracy in photos.
It is also the only model in the new lineup powered by the Kirin 9010S. Battery capacity is another strong point, with a 6500 mAh unit backed by 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
HUAWEI prices the Pura 90 at 4,699 yuan for the 12GB/256GB version. The 12GB/512GB model costs 5,199 yuan, while the 16GB/512GB variant is listed at 5,699 yuan.
Camera upgrades define the upper tier
Above that, the Pura 90 Pro shifts the focus more clearly toward imaging. The phone runs on the Kirin 9030S and keeps the same triangular camera module style, but its main camera steps up to a 50MP sensor with an adjustable aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0.
HUAWEI also equips the device with a 50MP telephoto camera offering 4x optical zoom, making it one of the more camera-centric options in the series. The battery drops slightly to 6000 mAh, but charging remains competitive with 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Pricing starts at 5,499 yuan for the 12GB/256GB version and goes up to 7,499 yuan for the 16GB/1TB configuration.
Bigger screen, stronger zoom, faster charging
The Pura 90 Pro Max takes the same platform and pushes it further for users who want a larger display and a more aggressive hardware setup. It uses a 6.9-inch screen, includes a 200MP telephoto camera and a 40MP ultrawide camera, and still relies on the Kirin 9030S.
Its battery capacity remains at 6000 mAh, but charging speeds improve. HUAWEI supports 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging on this model, making it the fastest-charging device among the three Pura 90 variants.
The Pura 90 Pro Max begins at 6,499 yuan for the 12GB/256GB version. At the top of the range, the 16GB/1TB model is priced at 8,499 yuan.
The most unusual model in the group
The Pura X Max stands apart from the rest because it is HUAWEI’s first foldable phone in the Pura series. Instead of following the more common vertical fold format, it opens horizontally, and HUAWEI has matched the aspect ratio of the outer and inner displays to create a more consistent experience when switching between them.
The device is also bundled with a stylus pen, which adds extra support for note-taking and drawing. Its display setup includes a 5.4-inch LTPO OLED outer screen and a 7.7-inch LTPO OLED inner screen, both with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Pura X Max uses the Kirin 9030 Pro. It offers 12GB and 16GB RAM options, along with internal storage up to 1TB, while the camera setup consists of a 50MP main camera, a 12.5MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom.
There are also two 8MP front cameras, one on the outer screen and one on the inner screen. The battery is rated at 5300 mAh, supported by 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, and the starting price is 10,999 yuan for the 12GB/256GB model.
Shared premium features across the four phones
Despite their different priorities, all four models include stereo speakers, a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, and an infrared emitter. For durability, the three Pura 90 models carry IP69K protection, while the Pura X Max comes with IP58 and IP59 ratings.
Within this lineup, the Pura 90 offers the lowest entry price, the Pura 90 Pro and Pro Max raise the focus on photography and display size, and the Pura X Max sits at the top as the most expensive and most unconventional option.
