Fujifilm Indonesia has expanded its instax lineup in a direction that blends instant photography with digital convenience. The company has officially brought the instax mini Evo Cinema and instax mini Link+ to the Indonesian market, offering two devices that keep the appeal of printed photos while adding more creative control.
The new release reflects a broader shift in instant imaging, where users are no longer limited to simply capturing and printing a picture. With hybrid functions, visual effects, and smartphone connectivity, Fujifilm is positioning instax as a more flexible system for everyday use.
A hybrid device that goes beyond still images
The instax mini Evo Cinema stands out as a hybrid camera, video recorder, and instant printer in one body. Users can review photos on the LCD screen before printing, making the selection process more deliberate and controlled.
Its most distinctive feature is the ability to record video and transform it into a QR code. That code can then be printed directly onto an instax photo, linking a physical print with the moving moment behind it.
This approach changes the role of an instant print. The photo is no longer just the final result, but also a gateway back to the original memory in another format.
Cinema-inspired effects for a different look
Beyond its hybrid concept, the instax mini Evo Cinema introduces the Eras Dial with 10 visual effects inspired by different cinematic periods. One of the effects creates an 8mm film feel, giving images a more retro character.
The effects can be adjusted gradually according to user preference, allowing photos to appear more classic, softer, or more modern without additional equipment. Fujifilm also complements this visual identity with a vertical grip inspired by the Fujica Single-8, while keeping the internal system modern and responsive.
Smartphone connection adds flexibility
The instax mini Evo Cinema is not limited to standalone use. It can also connect to a smartphone, which gives users a more flexible workflow for accessing and processing photos or videos.
Its 3-in-1 function allows image capture, video recording, and printing within a single device. For users who want a compact way to document daily activities, this reduces the need to switch between multiple tools.
instax mini Link+ targets smartphone printing
Alongside the hybrid camera, Fujifilm has also introduced the instax mini Link+ as a premium smartphone printer. The device is aimed at users who want to print images from their phones with more creative options.
Through Design Print mode, users can add text, illustrations, and visual patterns with sharper detail. The Simple Print feature is also available, helping produce smooth color gradations that keep the final result looking natural.
That combination makes the instax mini Link+ more than a basic phone-to-print accessory. It gives users room to shape a more personal visual style while still preserving the instant-print experience.
A sign of how instant photography is evolving
Together, the instax mini Evo Cinema and instax mini Link+ show how instant photography is adapting to current user habits. Both devices keep the speed and ease associated with instax, but they also expand creative possibilities in different ways.
The instax mini Evo Cinema brings video, QR code integration, and cinema-style effects into a single hybrid device. The instax mini Link+ extends smartphone printing with a more polished and personalized result.
For users who want physical prints without giving up digital features, the two devices offer complementary options that balance nostalgia with modern use. Fujifilm appears to be preserving the familiar feel of instax while opening more space for everyday creativity.
