Urban households are reshaping what they expect from laundry appliances. Speed, convenience, and hygienic results now matter as much as clean clothes, especially for active women and young families managing crowded schedules.
That shift has put all-in-one washer-dryer systems back in focus. A machine that can wash and dry in a single cycle is increasingly seen as a practical answer for homes that need efficiency without sacrificing garment care.
A 59-minute cycle for busy routines
Haier used the Haier Women’s Day Run 2026 to introduce Haier L+, its premium front load washer built around the “One & Done” concept. The product is designed to combine washing and drying in one unit, with the full process said to finish in 59 minutes.
Vincent Wenas, Head of Product Washing Machine Haier Indonesia, said the launch reflects changing consumer needs for a laundry experience that is fast, practical, and hygienic. He also described the product as part of the company’s support for an active and healthy modern lifestyle, especially for women today.
Large capacity for family use
Haier L+ is positioned for households that handle frequent laundry loads or larger items. The machine offers washing capacity of up to 24 kilograms and drying capacity of up to 16 kilograms.
That scale makes it suitable for bulky items such as duvets, blankets, and curtains. The washer also uses a 607 mm drum, described as the largest in its class, giving clothes more room to move and helping reduce wrinkles in the final result.
Features aimed at fabric care and efficiency
Beyond capacity, the machine includes several functions intended to support both performance and clothing care. AI Wash and Heat Pump Drying are presented as technologies that help optimize the laundry process while keeping fabric fibers in better condition.
The i-Refresh Smart Steam Care feature allows clothes to be refreshed with steam without needing another wash with water. It is designed to reduce odors and creases, including on premium materials such as wool and silk.
Haier also adds 360-degree micro steam in the i-Refresh function to provide a gentler treatment for sensitive fabrics. A 10.1-inch smart touch screen, placed near eye level and tilted at 25 degrees, is included to make operation more comfortable.
Hygiene remains a central concern
For many urban families, laundry is no longer judged only by how fast it finishes. Cleanliness during the process has become a major consideration, and Haier L+ addresses that with several sterilization-focused features.
These include UV Sterilization, Drying Sterilization, and Care Sterilization, all intended to help maintain garment hygiene throughout the cycle. The washer also uses a 5 Chamber Smart Dose system that automatically adjusts detergent and softener according to need.
Sensor Dry and 3 Inverter Drying are designed to keep the drying process efficient while supporting lower energy use. The Direct Motion Motor helps the machine run more quietly and steadily, while a 1,600 cm² filtration area is built to improve dirt filtering. Ultra Fresh Air maintains airflow after washing so clothes stay fresh even if they remain inside the machine for a while.
Why this type of appliance fits modern households
The growing appeal of this kind of laundry appliance reflects a wider change in urban living. A washing machine is no longer viewed only as a household utility, but as a tool that helps families save time and maintain comfort in daily life.
During its launch period, the company also prepared a purchase program that included a 43-inch LED TV as a direct gift for each unit bought, while stocks last. That offer adds to the broader message behind Haier L+: laundry solutions are being shaped by the demand for faster, cleaner, and more convenient routines in increasingly busy city homes.
