Samsung’s new Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A57 5G give the midrange segment two distinct options while sharing a long list of core strengths. Both models come with a 5,000 mAh battery, 45 W fast charging, a 120 Hz display, and IP68 certification for dust resistance and water resistance up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

The two phones target different users through their positioning, performance tier, and storage choices. That makes the lineup easier to read: one model aims to keep the price lower, while the other pushes further with a newer chipset and larger memory options.

Galaxy A37 5G: the more affordable entry

The Galaxy A37 5G weighs 196 grams and uses a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Samsung pairs that panel with a 1080 x 2340 resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, 385 ppi density, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.

Under the hood, the phone runs on the Exynos 1480 with an octa-core CPU and Xclipse 530 GPU. Memory choices include 6 GB, 8 GB, and 12 GB of RAM, while storage is available in 128 GB and 256 GB variants.

Its camera setup is built for everyday use. The rear system combines a 50 MP wide camera, 8 MP ultrawide camera, and 5 MP macro camera, while the front uses a 12 MP wide camera for selfies and video calls.

Samsung also equips the Galaxy A37 5G with Android v16 and One UI 8.5. Software support includes 6 OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches, along with NFC, an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and Samsung Knox.

The color options are Graygreen, Charkoal, White, and Light Violet. Pricing starts at Rp 6.599.000 for the 8 GB/128 GB model, followed by Rp 7.299.000 for the 8 GB/256 GB version.

Galaxy A57 5G: the step-up model

The Galaxy A57 5G comes in lighter at 179 grams, but it keeps the same IP68 rating and 6.7-inch screen size. This model uses a Super AMOLED+ panel with a 1080 x 2340 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.

Performance is where the difference becomes more visible. Samsung uses the Exynos 1680 here, together with an octa-core CPU and the Xclipse 550 GPU, then offers 6 GB, 8 GB, and 12 GB RAM options.

Storage is broader on this model as well. Buyers can choose 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB, giving the Galaxy A57 5G more room for files, photos, and apps.

The rear camera arrangement includes a 50 MP wide lens, a 12 MP ultrawide lens, and a 5 MP macro lens. The front camera remains 12 MP wide, and the battery and charging setup stay identical to the Galaxy A37 5G.

Like its sibling, the Galaxy A57 5G runs Android v16 with One UI 8.5. It also gets 6 OS upgrades, 6 years of security patches, NFC, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and Samsung Knox.

Color choices for the Galaxy A57 5G include Navy, Gray, Icyblue, and Lilac. The listed prices begin at Rp 7.599.000 for the 8 GB/128 GB variant, then move to Rp 8.299.000 for the 8 GB/256 GB model and Rp 8.999.000 for the 12 GB/256 GB version.

Two phones, two clear priorities

Samsung has built the pair around the same core platform, but the priorities are not identical. The Galaxy A37 5G focuses on value with a complete feature set, while the Galaxy A57 5G moves higher with a stronger chipset and larger storage ceiling.

For buyers who want a midrange phone with a 6.7-inch screen, 120 Hz refresh rate, 5,000 mAh battery, 45 W charging, and long software support, both models fit that brief. The final choice comes down to how much performance and storage a user wants to pay for.
