Moto G47 Bets on Balance, 108MP Camera, 120Hz Display, and a 5,200mAh Battery

Motorola’s latest step in the midrange segment is not a small update. The Moto G47 arrives with a sharper focus on the essentials that matter most to everyday users: a 108MP main camera, a 120Hz display, a 5,200mAh battery, and a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset.

That combination makes the device feel more complete than a routine refresh. Instead of leaning on one standout feature, Motorola appears to have built the Moto G47 as a more balanced package across display, imaging, performance, and durability.

A smoother screen for daily use

The Moto G47 uses a 6.67-inch Full HD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. In practice, that should make navigation feel more fluid when scrolling through menus, social feeds, or video content.

On the front, Motorola places an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera inside a punch-hole cutout. The setup keeps the display area open while still covering the basics for selfies and video calls.

Motorola also sticks to a familiar design language. The phone comes in three PANTONE-curated colors: Impenetrable, Nautical Blue, and Fuchsia Red.

The camera system puts the main sensor first

The biggest headline sits on the back. Motorola equips the Moto G47 with a 108MP main camera with an f/1.7 aperture and support for 3x lossless digital zoom.

That main sensor is joined by a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera and a 2-in-1 light sensor. The layout shows a clear priority on the primary camera, while the secondary hardware handles more specific shooting needs.

This kind of setup is often aimed at users who want high-resolution photos without relying on a crowded multi-camera arrangement. In the midrange category, that can be a strong selling point.

Dimensity 6300 keeps the hardware grounded

For performance, the Moto G47 uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 built on a 6nm process. Motorola pairs it with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

There is also a microSD slot, which gives users extra room for photos, videos, and other files. That makes the phone more flexible for people who prefer expandable storage instead of depending only on internal capacity.

The combination of a 6nm chipset, generous RAM, and expandable storage points to a device designed for stable day-to-day use. It is not framed as a performance flagship, but it does aim to stay efficient and practical.

Battery and charging aim at longer uptime

Power management is another important part of the Moto G47 package. The phone carries a 5,200mAh battery and supports 20W charging.

Motorola also includes 6W reverse wired charging, which allows the phone to help charge another device through a cable. That feature may not be essential for everyone, but it adds a useful layer of practicality when needed.

With the large battery and 6nm processor working together, the Moto G47 is positioned as a phone that should handle a full day of regular use more comfortably. In the midrange market, endurance often matters as much as speed.

Extra features make the package feel more complete

Motorola rounds out the phone with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, eSIM support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Those additions make the device easier to fit into everyday routines, especially for users who still value wired audio or contactless functions.

The Moto G47 also carries an IP64 rating and MIL-STD-810H compliance. Together, those certifications add a stronger sense of durability to the overall package.

Motorola unveiled the Moto G47 alongside several other devices, including the Moto G37, Moto G37 Power, Moto G87, and the Razr 70 Series foldables. The company has not yet announced pricing or availability, and that remains the key detail still waiting to be revealed.
