Motorola’s next premium Edge phone is drawing closer in India, and the clearest signs so far point to a model built to stand out on design and photography rather than raw hardware alone. A dedicated Flipkart microsite has started signaling the arrival of the Edge 70 Pro+, making the launch look increasingly imminent.
What separates this device from the rest of the line is a combination of a 50 MP telephoto camera and 15W wireless charging. Those two features are emerging as the most distinct additions as Motorola positions the Edge 70 Pro+ above the Edge 70 Pro.
A more premium identity
Motorola has also shown off three finish options for the phone: Satin luxe, Sculpted wood, and Twill-inspired finish. The lineup suggests that the company wants the device to appeal not just through specifications, but through materials and styling as well.
That approach fits the premium direction associated with the Edge 70 Pro+. Rather than relying only on conventional flagship hardware, Motorola appears to be giving the phone a stronger visual identity.
Camera hardware takes center stage
Among the leaked details, the camera setup is the clearest differentiator. The Edge 70 Pro+ is said to feature a 50 MP Sony LYT710 main camera, paired with a 50 MP ultra-wide lens and a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom.
On the front, the phone is expected to carry a 50 MP selfie camera with autofocus. If that configuration is accurate at launch, the device would be aimed at users who care about portraits, selfies, and longer-range shots more seriously than on the standard model.
Display and performance details
The phone is also rumored to use a 6.8-inch curved display with 1.5K resolution. It is expected to support a 144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i protection, which would keep the screen experience smooth and add a layer of durability.
Inside, the Edge 70 Pro+ is said to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset. Storage is also reported to use UFS 4.1, a standard that typically offers faster read and write performance.
Battery, charging, and build
Motorola appears to be pairing the premium positioning with a large 6,500 mAh battery. Charging support is expected to include 90W wired charging, along with 15W wireless charging that gives the phone an additional advantage in its class.
Despite the large battery, the device is said to keep a slim profile at 7.2 mm and a weight of 190 grams. It is also rumored to come with IP68 and IP69 certification, which would add water and dust resistance to the package.
For now, the only confirmed detail is Motorola’s teaser activity through the Flipkart microsite in India. The rest of the specifications, including the display, chipset, camera system, battery size, and wireless charging support, are still waiting for official confirmation from the company.
