Motorola’s next Edge family model is shaping up to stand out for more than just raw specifications. The Edge 70 Pro+ is being positioned as the top-tier variant in the lineup, with a mix of AI-assisted periscope imaging, premium materials, and more complete charging support than the standard model.
The strongest hint so far is the camera system. Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is said to feature a 50MP periscope camera built around a Sony Lytia 710 sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size, paired with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 50x Super Zoom Pro through AI support.
That setup suggests Motorola is aiming at users who want extra reach without giving up everyday usability. It is also being framed as a serious option for distant subjects, including concert shots and other moments where heavy zoom matters.
For portrait photography, the telephoto periscope lens is reported to use an 85mm native focal length. Flipkart has also revealed flexible framing options at 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm for portraits with different looks.
A more distinctive design direction
Beyond imaging, the device is drawing attention for its finish choices. The Edge 70 Pro+ is reportedly coming in three color options with distinct material personalities, which gives the phone a more premium identity than a typical mainstream model.
Pantone Zinfandel is described as a red wine shade with a smooth satin-luxe finish. Pantone Stormy Sea uses a light blue tone with a twill finish, while Pantone Chicory Coffee stands out with a sculpted wood finish that uses real wood accents.
That wood-backed variant is the most eye-catching of the group. In a market where many phones look increasingly similar, Motorola appears to be leaning on texture and materials as a major selling point.
Large display and generous memory
The display side is also expected to support the Pro+ positioning. Leaks point to a 6.7-inch or 6.8-inch curved AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, which should help the phone feel smooth in daily use.
Memory support is equally ambitious, with RAM said to go up to 16GB. That combination of a fast panel and large memory capacity puts the device in the territory of users who want both fluid multitasking and strong everyday responsiveness.
The chipset has not been revealed yet, but the broader Edge Pro line has previously been associated with large batteries and wide cooling systems. That background has already raised expectations around performance for this model, especially among mobile gamers and gadget enthusiasts.
Charging gets a fuller flagship treatment
Another notable difference from the standard Pro model appears in charging. The Edge 70 Pro version for India reportedly lacked wireless charging, but the Pro+ is said to address that gap with full Turbo Power Charging support.
Motorola is reportedly preparing both wired charging and wireless charging for the device. That would give users the choice between plugging in or placing the phone on a charging pad when they are not using it.
Battery capacity has not been disclosed by Motorola or Flipkart. Even so, the available details suggest the Edge 70 Pro+ is being prepared as a more complete flagship, with the mix of imaging, design, and charging features expected to make it the most attention-grabbing member of the Edge 70 family.
