Android Phones That Can Send Photos to iPhone Without Extra Apps, Supported Models Listed

Android users are getting a simpler way to move photos and other files to Apple devices, as Google expands Quick Share integration with AirDrop to more Android phones. The change reduces the usual friction of cross-platform sharing, which has often required extra apps or workarounds.

The update is still rolling out gradually, and Google says it does not yet cover every Android device. Even so, the compatibility list already spans several major brands, with more models expected to join soon.

Samsung leads the current Android list

Samsung has the longest lineup in the new wave of support. The compatible models include Galaxy S26, S26+, S26 Ultra, Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition, and Galaxy Z TriFold.

That broad coverage makes Samsung the most visible beneficiary so far. It also shows that the feature is reaching both flagship slab phones and premium foldables.

Google Pixel phones are also included

Google’s own devices are part of the compatibility set as well. The list covers Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, 10 Pro Fold, 10a, Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold, 9a, and Pixel 8a.

The inclusion of Pixel phones matches the earlier rollout that first appeared on the Pixel 10 family. That gives Google a direct showcase for the new cross-ecosystem sharing experience.

Other brands are joining with selected models

Several other manufacturers are already represented, though with fewer devices. Xiaomi currently has the Xiaomi 17T Pro on the list, while OnePlus is represented by the OnePlus 15.

Oppo adds more depth to the rollout with Oppo Find X9, X9 Pro, X9 Ultra, X9s, and Oppo Find N6. Vivo joins through the Vivo X300, X300 Pro, and X300 Ultra, while Honor appears with the Honor Magic V6.

More phones are set to follow

Google has made clear that the rollout will continue. Three additional phones are expected to be added soon: Motorola razr fold 2026, Oppo Find X8 series, and Honor Magic8 Pro.

That suggests the current list is only the beginning of a wider expansion. If the rollout continues as planned, Quick Share and AirDrop support could reach a much larger set of Android devices over time.

How the transfer works between Android and iPhone

For Android users sending photos to iPhone, the iPhone side needs a visibility change first. AirDrop must be set to “Everyone for 10 minutes” in Control Center before the transfer can proceed.

Once that is enabled, Android users can send files through Quick Share. The same system also works in the other direction, as Android users who want to receive photos must keep the Quick Share Receive page open until the transfer finishes.

That setup removes the need for third-party apps in many everyday file-sharing tasks. It also shortens the process when moving files between devices running different operating systems.

The feature extends beyond the iPhone

Google presents the integration as a bridge between Android and iPhone, but its reach is wider than that. Android users can also exchange files with iPad and Mac devices through the same setup.

For people who regularly send photos, documents, or other quick files, that makes the feature more useful than a simple phone-to-phone tool. It creates a more practical route for sharing across much of Apple’s device ecosystem, as long as the device is included in the supported list.
