For its 31st anniversary, Telkomsel is putting the spotlight on a promotion that is likely to catch the attention of many Simpati users: 31 GB of data for Rp31 ribu. The offer is part of a Surprise Deal series designed to mark the milestone while giving customers a simple, low-cost option with a generous quota.
The package is available alongside a second, much larger choice for users who need more data. Telkomsel is also offering 500 GB with a 30-day validity period for Rp310 ribu, giving customers two different ways to take advantage of the anniversary campaign.
Behind the promotion, Telkomsel is signaling a broader push to make its services feel more personal and more useful for its 156.1 million customers. The company says it wants to move closer to customer needs by focusing not only on connectivity, but also on digital experiences that feel more integrated and relevant.
Artificial intelligence sits at the center of that strategy. Telkomsel has expanded its use of AI over the past few years, including support for network operations and customer service, as the company works toward a more customer-focused service model.
The operator is also deepening its role in Indonesia’s AI ecosystem through collaboration with Indonesia Artificial Intelligence. That partnership led to the Sacred Octagon AI-based learning feature inside the MyTelkomsel app, adding another layer to Telkomsel’s digital service approach.
At the leadership level, Telkomsel President Director Nugroho has emphasized that technology should better understand customer needs. He said an empathetic, customer-centered approach is important so that every solution can provide convenience, a sense of security, and support in daily life.
That view reflects a wider shift in the telecom industry, where operators are no longer expected to stop at network access alone. Telkomsel sees digital services as part of the same experience, with AI helping make that experience more seamless and personal.
Network expansion remains another major part of the company’s agenda. Telkomsel says it now operates 6,380 5G BTS across 107 cities and regencies in Indonesia, while also claiming 5G contiguous coverage in 36 areas.
The company continues to expand Hyper 5G as part of its effort to deliver faster and more stable digital access. Alongside that growth, Telkomsel has also pushed its sustainability program through BTS Green.
More than 360 of its BTS units now use renewable energy, according to the company. That adds an environmental dimension to Telkomsel’s current strategy, which combines service performance, digital development, and energy efficiency in one direction.
