DJI’s move into power accessories arrives with a product that tries to stand out in a crowded charger market for one simple reason: the cable is part of the story. The POWER 140W GaN Charger ships with a display-equipped cable that shows charging data in real time, turning an ordinary charging setup into something far more informative.
That detail matters because DJI is no longer only speaking to drone and gimbal users. With this charger, the company is stepping into fast-charging gear for multiple devices at once, and it is doing so with a feature set that goes beyond a standard wall adapter.
Three ports, different device needs
The POWER 140W GaN Charger comes with three output ports: two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. That layout makes it usable for newer mobile devices while still leaving room for accessories that rely on older connections.
DJI says the two USB-C ports can deliver up to 140W, and the charger also supports PD 3.1 for broader compatibility with newer digital devices. The USB-A port supports output up to 33W, making it suitable for lower-power products such as earbuds or older phones.
When more than one device is connected, the charger adjusts how power is distributed. DJI says it uses dynamic power allocation so charging remains stable across all ports, and the flow of power on other ports is not interrupted when a device is plugged in or removed.
A charger built around GaN efficiency
The base of the product is gallium nitride, or GaN, which DJI uses to keep the charger compact while improving power efficiency. The charger measures 68.3 mm x 32.2 mm x 64 mm and weighs about 245 grams, making it relatively easy to carry in a bag or use while traveling.
DJI also includes a foldable plug, a detail that usually helps with storage and reduces the chance of the prongs catching on other items in transit. For heavier workloads, the charger includes over-temperature protection to help reduce overheating during high-load operation.
The cable is the real differentiator
The bundled cable is where DJI gives the product its most visible twist. It is a 7A data cable with a digital display, and the screen can show charging information in real time without the need for extra tools.
Inside the cable is a built-in E-Marker smart chip. That chip displays power, voltage, and current as charging happens, giving users a direct view of what the connected device is drawing.
DJI says the cable supports up to 240W and still handles USB 2.0 data transfer. It also uses a braided design, which generally points to a more durable build than a standard cable.
Positioning in DJI’s broader ecosystem
The charger is priced at 209 yuan, and the package includes both the adapter and the display cable. That puts it in a category aimed at users who want a compact charger with flexible output and more visibility into charging performance.
DJI also makes clear that devices within its own ecosystem receive charging priority when connected. That suggests the POWER 140W GaN Charger is meant not only as a general-purpose accessory, but also as a companion product for DJI hardware users who already carry multiple devices.
