OPPO is moving the Reno 16 Series into Indonesia ahead of its Malaysia announcement, and that timing has made the lineup stand out immediately. The phones are scheduled to launch in Indonesia on 3 July 2026, while Malaysia’s announcement is set for 8 July 2026.
The most notable part is that pre-orders in Indonesia are already open before the official launch date. That early move signals that OPPO is in the final stretch of preparation for the new Reno family.
Three models, three clear positions
The Reno 16 Series will arrive in three versions: Reno 16F, Reno 16, and Reno 16 Pro. Each model is aimed at a different tier, with separate storage options and color choices.
Reno 16F sits at the entry level of the lineup. It will be offered in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants, with Dream Purple, Pop White, and Twilight Violet available as color options.
Reno 16 steps up with two configurations, namely 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB. OPPO lists Pop White and Twilight Violet for this model.
Reno 16 Pro keeps the range compact
Reno 16 Pro is the most limited in terms of versions. It comes in a single 12GB+256GB configuration, and buyers will be able to choose between Pop White and Starlight Black.
OPPO has not revealed the full specifications of the three devices yet. Even so, early listings on Geekbench provide a first look at the chipsets that may power each model.
Geekbench hints at different performance tiers
According to the latest Geekbench appearance, Reno 16F is expected to use the Dimensity 7300. Reno 16 is linked to Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while Reno 16 Pro is said to run on Dimensity 8500 or 8550.
Those chipset hints suggest that OPPO is building a clear performance ladder across the series. That approach gives buyers room to choose a model that matches their needs and the class it is expected to occupy.
OPPO has also prepared dedicated pages for each of the three smartphones, reinforcing that the launch process is already well underway. The company is also highlighting other products on its Malaysia site, including the OPPO Bubble attachment for the Reno 16 series, along with Enco Air 5 and Enco Air 5s earphones.
With pre-orders open and the launch date approaching, attention now turns to OPPO’s official reveal on 3 July 2026. More detailed information is still being held back until that moment, but the early rollout has already made the Reno 16 Series one of the brand’s most closely watched releases in Indonesia.
